🚨 19-year-old wounded detainee Zahir Tahseen Raddad from the town of Saida, #Tulkarem, has ascended to martyrdom in the occupation "Meir" Hospital, early Sunday morning, after the occupation committed a compound crime against him, according to the Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs' Commission and the Palestinian Prisoners Club.
Zahir was arrested on July 23, 2024, after the occupation forces shot him and used him as a human shield by placing him on the front of an IOF military vehicle (media).
The occupation continued to detain him despite his critical and unstable health condition. He remained on artificial respiration after undergoing several surgeries, and several court sessions were held in his absence until his martyrdom today.
This crime adds to the unprecedented record of crimes by the occupation since the start of the genocide war against our people in Gaza and the prisoners facing another form of genocide through torture, humiliation, starvation, and mass isolation, according to the Commission and the Club.
There are several wounded detainees whom the occupation continues to hold in its hospitals, who were arrested after being injured at the moment of their arrest.
With the martyrdom of the wounded detainee Raddad, the number of martyr prisoners and detainees since October 7th has risen to 23, whose identities have been announced, in addition to dozens of Gaza detainees who have ascended in the occupation’s prisons and camps, whose identities the occupation continues to withhold to this day.
