The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, condemns the inaccuracies stated yesterday by the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Mr. Tor Wennesland, during his briefing to the Security Council on the recent developments in the region. Unfortunately, Mr. Wennesland persists in using the same language that equates the aggressor with the victim, contradicts clear international law, and even deviates from the declared position of the United Nations, which has been expressed by numerous UN organizations in Palestine. Moreover, he goes beyond this by adopting the narrative of the occupation, which it promotes to justify its aggression against our people in all areas. Among the inaccuracies and violations in Mr. Tor's statements:
- He adopted the occupation's narrative regarding shelters, civilian buildings, and UN offices, claiming that they are used for military purposes without any evidence. This is the occupation’s narrative that has never been proven, thus providing the occupation with excuses to continue bombing and killing Palestinian civilians. Mr. Tor ignored all the pictures and videos that prove the enemy army's use of schools, universities, citizens' homes, and even UN offices as military bases.
- Once again, he adopted the occupation's narrative justifying its aggression against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, claiming that killing people and demolishing homes over their inhabitants' heads is part of pursuing resistance forces. He forgot that more than 20,000 Palestinians have been killed in the past years in every street, alley, and home in the occupied West Bank without any justification other than being Palestinians living in their homeland.
- He described our people's resistance against the occupation as terrorism, while he referred to state terrorism carried out by settlers under the protection of the army and government ministers as violence.
- He passionately spoke about the suffering of zionist captives held by the resistance, forgetting that thousands of Palestinian prisoners, including women and children, have been living in inhumane conditions for decades, especially after October 7th. What has reached the media and is now known to all about the horrific and immoral practices that the zionist state sponsors against our prisoners in its jails was completely ignored.
- Mr. Wennesland repeatedly ignored the ongoing attempts by the zionist entity to undermine and even eliminate the work of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), particularly in Gaza, amidst the greatest humanitarian crisis the region has ever faced.
These are just some of the inaccuracies that appeared in his briefing, which have been repeated in more than one briefing, indicating that this is a deliberate and intentional policy. Therefore, we demand that Mr. Wennesland retract these inaccuracies and adhere to the limits of the mission entrusted to him as an international mediator whose reference is international law and the policies of the United Nations.

This is the truth of Allah, the Most High, the Almighty.
In support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their brave and honorable resistance, the fighters of the Islamic Resistance, at 05:23 PM on Friday, 23-08-2024, targeted the Al-Samaqa site in the occupied Lebanese Kfar Shuba hills with rocket weapons, hitting it directly.

Despite the pouring rain and flooding across the country, Yemenis in several governorates still came out for their weekly march, which they titled: "With Gaza and Al-Aqsa... Jihad and Steadfastness Until Victory."
Interviewed participants reaffirmed their support of Gaza and its resistance under any circumstance. "We will not abandon you, and we will not bow."
The statement of the march reaffirmed the nation's commitment to continuing both military operations as well as official and popular activities.
In a message to the Palestinian people and their fighters, they said: "We take pride in you and honor your legendary steadfastness that has exceeded expectations and shattered the hopes of the enemies and the normalizers."
To the peoples of Arab and Islamic nations, they said: "The Palestinian people are oppressed Muslims and part of you, and Gaza is a test of your faith and a measure of your humanity. Abandoning them is treason."
To the Axis of Resistance, they said: "Strike the enemies of Allah, the enemies of His prophets, and the enemies of humanity, and let the response be earth-shattering to heal the hearts of believing people."

🚨 Palestinian Ministry of Health:

With the start of the entry of supplies for the polio vaccination campaign into the Gaza Strip, we at the Ministry of Health emphasize the following:
The necessity of a ceasefire for the success of the campaign.
The vaccination campaign will not be effective alone in light of the lack of clean water, personal hygiene supplies, and the spread of sewage among the tents of the displaced, and in light of the lack of a healthy environment.

🚨 Missile sirens ring in “Sderot” and surrounding settlements in the northern #Gaza envelope.
The World Health Organization confirmed 10-month-old infected with the first case of polio in Gaza in 25 years has been paralyzed.
50,000 children born in Gaza since October 7th have not been vaccinated against this preventable disease, which has a 15-30% fatality rate and affects children primarily. This is despite calls for a temporary ceasefire and vaccination campaign, which has been reiterated by the Palestinian Ministry of Health. Two rounds of vaccinations are scheduled for the end of August and September, but vaccination alone is less effective in light of an unclean environment and lack of clean water.
The director of Save the Children stated that a polio outbreak would be a global disaster and a "threat to children everywhere." "It will not wait in front of the inspection gates at the 'Kerem Shalom' crossing."

🚨 About 20 rockets were launched from southern Lebanon towards Safad and its surroundings in northeastern occupied Palestine, with a number of rockets making impact near "Beria," west of the city.
At least two fires have broken out as a result of the barrage and the failure of the Iron Dome to confront it.
