Wael Mashah, who ascended to martyrdom tonight as a result of an IOF drone strike in Balata camp, #Nablus, was freed from zionist prisons in the resistance's November 2023 prisoner exchange deal alongside 240 child and women prisoners.
Wael was martyred just days after his comrade Tariq Dawoud of #Qalqilya (Media 1), who was also freed in the November exchanges. Like Tariq, he remained on the path of resistance after his release.
In an interview after his liberation, Wael explains how his two cousins were martyred while he was imprisoned.
"The feeling of freedom cannot be described, not in a word, or two works. Even if you were imprisoned for a month, or two months, you have been deprived of freedom, and freedom is priceless."
