The increasing number of martyrs from the prisoners' movement who have ascended under the weight of torture in "israeli" prisons and detention centers, whether known or secret, unmistakably reveals the deliberate policy of the occupation to kill and oppress the sons of our Palestinian people.

The Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine affirms that the torture practiced by the zionist enemy against prisoners and detainees is a war crime and a blatant violation of all international humanitarian conventions and laws. These heinous practices represent a stain on the conscience of the international community, which remains silent in the face of these horrific crimes.

The atrocities committed by the occupation against our heroic prisoners occur under the eyes and ears of all international organizations and institutions, which have done nothing to save the thousands of prisoners whose rights, freedoms, and dignity are being violated amidst shameful international silence.

What has been revealed by recent global press reports about the brutal practices against prisoners confirms that the occupation systematically seeks to kill and liquidate Palestinians, whether in Gaza, the West Bank, or Al-Quds, especially the prisoners who represent significant symbols of resistance and national stature in the prisoners' movement.

We in the Islamic Jihad Movement call upon all the free and honorable people in the world to act immediately and pressure the occupying entity to stop its brutal crimes against prisoners and to work towards improving their detention conditions.

It is a jihad of victory or martyrdom.

The released prisoner, Muhammad Abdul Fattah Saad (20 years old), a resident of Jabalia, north of the Gaza Strip, arrived at Nasser Hospital suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest after his release from the occupation prisons. He had been laying in occupation hospitals for 45 days, and arrived this morning via the Karam Abu Salem crossing.

Regarding the War Crimes Committed by the Occupation Against Prisoners in the Prisons

In light of the continuous rise in the number of prisoner martyrs in the occupation's prisons as a result of severe torture and the horrific violation of human dignity, which is rejected by all religious laws and international conventions, we call on the official Palestinian authorities to take effective action on the international and human rights stage to stop these crimes and hold the leaders of the occupation accountable at the International Criminal Court.

The testimonies of released prisoners from the prisons provide clear evidence, leaving no room for doubt, that the occupation is committing crimes against humanity that must not be tolerated, and that the perpetrators must be pursued.

We call on the Red Cross and human rights organizations and international institutions to visit the prisoners and reveal the crimes they are subjected to.

We demand that the occupation be compelled to stop committing the crime of enforced disappearance against prisoners from the Gaza Strip and to disclose their names, fates, and places of detention, holding it fully responsible for their lives and safety.

The number of prisoners in the occupation's prisons reached over 9,900 by the beginning of August, and this figure does not include all the detainees from Gaza, specifically those held in military camps.

The UNRWA Commissioner-General's Decision to Dismiss Agency Employees is a Blatant Bias Toward the Occupation's Lies and Schemes.

In a dangerous step reflecting a blatant bias toward the lies and schemes of the occupation, the UNRWA Commissioner-General, Philippe Lazzarini, issued a decision to dismiss nine agency employees under the pretext of their alleged complicity in the events of October 7th.

We consider this decision not only a blatant violation of the rights of these wronged employees but also a green light for the zionist occupation to carry out its aggressive schemes against UNRWA and the Palestinian people.

This unjust decision embodies the Commissioner-General's flagrant bias towards the lies and schemes of the occupation and demonstrates a readiness to offer the agency as a scapegoat to appease zionist ambitions, in an attempt to legitimize any aggressive measures that may be taken against UNRWA and its staff.

In light of this dangerous decision, we cannot stand idly by in the face of this farce, which disregards the most basic principles of international justice, and where it is clear that the accusation was “proven” before the investigation was conducted, in blatant violation of international laws.

This step ignores the results of independent investigations, which confirmed the falsity of the accusations against the employees and proved their lack of credible evidence, findings acknowledged by the UN Secretary-General, leading many countries to reverse their decision to suspend funding to the agency.

The dismissal of these employees is a direct result of occupation pressures and is part of a larger conspiracy aimed at undermining UNRWA's work, emptying it of its humanitarian and legal content, or gradually reducing its services as a systematic step towards the liquidation of UNRWA and the refugee issue.

The statement by the Commissioner-General is nothing more than blatant bias towards the occupation's agendas and an exposed justification for any action that may be taken against UNRWA in the future.

Therefore, we call for the immediate reversal of this unjust and dangerous decision, and we demand the international community and the United Nations to take immediate action to stop this farce that threatens the future of UNRWA and its role in supporting the rights of Palestinian refugees. This decision also violates the basic rights of employees, assaults their dignity, and falsely and maliciously labels them as "terrorists" under the incitement of the occupation and its accomplices.
