You left brokenhearted and sorrowful for us, longing to see me and Zeina. You left while saying, "I'm tired, tired without you, I can't live without you." I never imagined I would receive news of your martyrdom, never imagined someone would tell me Ismail has ascended!
I was waiting for the war to end so we could see you!
I was waiting for the first meeting between you and Zeina, not for a picture of your funeral!
Zeina became very attached to you; every time the phone rings, she says, "Baba, where are you? Answer your daughter!"
Until now, I am waiting for your call, to hear you say, "I miss you, Umm Zeina. Hang in there, the war is almost over, and we will see you in good health."
