The Islamic Resistance Movement - Hamas and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in Gaza held an important bilateral meeting today, Wednesday, July 31, 2024, amid Al-Aqsa Flood battle and the genocidal war targeting our Palestinian people in Gaza, the West Bank, Al-Quds, the occupied interior, and in the diaspora, as well as the mistreatment of prisoners, the Judaization of Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa, and the theft of land by zionist settlements.

The attendees mourned the loss of Palestine and the nation’s great national leader, the martyr Ismail Abdul Salam Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement - Hamas. They affirmed that his pure blood will not be in vain and that the zionist enemy will pay the price for its crimes and aggression. The blood of leader Haniyeh will illuminate the path to liberation, return, and independence.

The Popular Front and Hamas emphasized the following:

We extend greetings, gratitude, and appreciation to our Palestinian people in all their places of presence, especially to our steadfast and struggling people in Gaza, and to our valiant resistance wherever it exists and wherever it operates, which is crafting a legend in resistance and struggle with its blood. We also salute our righteous martyrs, our noble wounded, and our free prisoners.
We affirm that resistance is a legitimate right, a strategic choice, and an ongoing journey until liberation, independence, and the establishment of the Palestinian state on the entire national Palestinian soil with Al-Quds as its capital.

We salute the resistance of our people in the occupied West Bank and call on our people to provide all means of protection and support for our resistance heroes and to confront all forms of persecution.

Stopping the aggression, protecting our people, the withdrawal of the occupation from Gaza, breaking the siege, and opening the crossings are national priorities for our people and their valiant resistance. What is termed (the day after the war) is a day for the Palestinian people, their living forces, and their resistance. Any attempts to impose projects that detract from our people’s right to their independent national decision, regardless of their source, will be confronted just as we confront the zionist occupation. Any force, regardless of its nationality, will be considered an occupying force and will share the same fate.

We call on our people in the occupied interior, the West Bank, and Al-Quds to escalate confrontation and resistance against the occupation and to confront its criminal projects and its criminal gangs.

The genocidal war will not restore the occupation’s deteriorating status or its deterrent power, which is crumbling under the feet of the heroes of our valiant resistance.

We call on the government and its specialized agencies to strike with an iron fist at anyone who dares to become a tool of the occupation, whether intentionally or unintentionally. We call on the tribes and families of our people to continue supporting the government and security agencies in enforcing the law, maintaining public order, and deterring those who are unruly and lawbreakers.

The reform and development of the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Palestinian political system is an urgent national interest that all national factions have agreed upon, most recently in China. This ensures the participation of all Palestinians and their living forces, making it capable of achieving the hopes and aspirations of our people for liberation, freedom, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital.

We call on our people, our nation, and the free people of the world to consider August 3rd as a global day of mass support for our people and our brave prisoners.

This is not the first time I write on these pages. I had previously participated in writing and preparing files and articles on various topics, all revolving around resistance and martyrs. In the beginning, I contributed without signing my name. Later, I started writing with my first name only. But today, in the realm of resistance and martyrs as well, there is no longer a need to abbreviate my name. I am Khadijah Fouad Shukr, the daughter who was raised under the shadow of a father who always spoke of martyrdom and martyrs. Talking about martyrs occupied a large part of the stories my father would tell me. These stories, over the years, turned into his encouragement for me to write these "stories" and narrate them in articles, reports, and various media materials, all revolving around resistance, jihad, and martyrdom. He saw in the narration and writing of resistance stories a true participation in one of the fields of resistance.

These stories built our awareness, mine and my siblings', as he used to tell them, starting with the Battle of Karbala and Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), passing through the companions of the path and the friends on the way who were gone, and ending with a suspended wish - or it was suspended until yesterday - that Allah would grant him martyrdom. Despite our fear for our father, our constant worry that we only knew with him, and despite that the mere thought of his departure would shake our hearts and stir our fear of loss and that the fields of jihad (struggle) and the sites of leadership and assistance to our master and leader His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah (may God preserve him and protect him) would miss him, we knew that martyrdom was his ultimate hope and goal at the end of the road, the conclusion that befits his life filled with jihad, sacrifice, and victories.

Today, I can no longer hear my father's stories of the martyrs except in special recordings, which will be my provision in the coming days. Today, Sayyed Mohsen, my father, has become the story and the tale, the secret that spread, and the fragrance that diffused. Yesterday, when we were called to bid farewell to our father, and we saw him comforting the martyr of Karbala even in the manner and timing of his martyrdom in the month of Muharram, standing before my father for the last time, I felt many things: pride, honor, a racing heart, confusion... and much more, but not orphanhood. That is because none of us feels orphaned with the presence of our greater father, our first leader, whom we pray to God - as our father did - to preserve, guide, and protect him. There is no orphanhood with your presence, "Uncle Sayyed."

In 2022, Al-Akhbar conducted an interview with the martyr leader Fouad Shukr, "Sayyed Mohsen," in which he spoke about Hezbollah's readiness to resist the occupation and the nature of the anticipated war with it. The article was titled: "A great jihadist leader speaks about the resistance's preparations for war: 'Our goal is to destroy the enemy's army, and they will be pulling bodies from beneath the rubble of cities.'"

At the time, the leader stated that: "The new mission entrusted to us after the war focused on building qualitative capabilities capable of destroying the 'israeli' army, not just preventing it from achieving its objectives."

He added "If the enemy brings us to war, we will fight it with strength, and it will be devastating for him in every sense of the word. It will not be able to face Hezbollah in all arenas. If it threatens us with destruction as it always does, we affirm that the destruction in the entity will be greater than they can imagine. The enemy must understand that a war with Hezbollah this time means the destruction of the 'israeli' entity’s infrastructure, turning the settlers' lives into a real hell in which they cannot live under fire and destruction. We are certain that the enemy will work to pull bodies from under the rubble during the war. This is something he and his people have never experienced before."

Despite that the article was written two years ago, some of his words seem to be reading into the future as he said: "We say that in the war that will definitely happen, the 'israeli' army knows for certain that it is unable to protect the ships that are supposed to enter Palestinian ports, let alone protect the warships. It also knows that at the moment the war breaks out, we will not fight a defensive war. For the first time in its history, 'israel' will have to defend itself in the 1948 lands."
