The funeral of young Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades fighter Suleiman Kanaan took place in Al-Bireh today. He and Khaled Hamidat ascended to martyrdom after being shot by the IOF yesterday.
His mother stated, "With the events in Gaza, he told me he couldn't handle seeing the photos of Gaza's martyrs. He would tell me, mom, I want to be martyred. When I'm martyred, I want you to carry by body." "I wanted him to excel in the tawjihi [secondary exam], but he earned a certificate [martyrdom] better than the tawjihi. Praise be to Allah, for the sake of Palestine, for the homeland. The homeland deserves our children, and they are not better than the children of Gaza."
As he asked for in his will, his mother carried his body, covered with roses. The funeral was a display of resistance, honor, and unity, with flags of all Palestinian resistance factions present, as well as Hezbollah flags and a banner of Ansarallah commander Abdulmalik Al-Houthi.
Mourners chanted, "O Jamil Al-Amouri, we brought you a rose."
"Ask about us in Jenin, and in Oyoun Al-Haramiyeh!"
"O mother of the martyr, I envy you! I wish my mother was in your place!"
"Our salute to Hashd Al-Sha'abi [Popular Mobilization Forces] in Iraq!"

🚨 Occupation forces have withdrawn from the eastern area of Khan Younis in the southern #Gaza Strip.
People have begun to return to their homes and life is slowly returning despite the large destruction caused by the occupation.
The Civil Defense reported that their teams are working on recovering the remaining martyrs after the roads were closed and 90% of the infrastructure was destroyed.
At least 42 martyrs have been recovered from Bani Suheila following the withdrawal, with numbers expected to increase in the coming hours.
The Civil Defense still have 200 signals and reports about missing citizens east of Khan Younis. They stated that the continued prevention by the occupation forces of their teams from recovering the injured has caused their martyrdom and the decomposition of their bodies, in clear and explicit violation of basic rights and the right to save lives.
The Civil Defense also urged citizens not to move in areas east of Khan Younis due to military debris and unexploded ordnance left by the occupation that could increase human losses. (media 7)
Residents found the decomposed body of Iyad Al-Najjar who had special needs, executed by the occupation inside his home after he was unable to leave his home (media 5 and 6).
