Today as "tawjihi" (high school examination) results are released in Palestine, the martyr Yazan Shtayyeh, a student of the Nablus School of Industry, was supposed to be rejoicing over his graduation with his family and friends.
Instead of obtaining a high school certificate, Yazan obtained the certificate of martyrdom, the most honorable certificate one could ever receive. Yazan loved the martyrs and honored them by visiting their burial places and through his acts of resistance. In Media 1, he is seen visiting the burial place of the martyr Walid Al-Dakhil.
When Al-Aqsa Mosque witnessed dangerous escalations and attacks by the occupation forces, Yazan visited the holy site, answering the calls of the homeland. In his visit to defend Al-Aqsa Mosque, Yazan witnessed brutal scenes of the occupation forces beating up worshippers, women, and the "Murabitat" of the Mosque. On that day, Yazan returned home barefoot, without shoes, and beaten up by the occupation forces.
Ever since witnessing those horrific scenes, Yazan's mother says "his blood has been raging, and resistance has been running in his blood."
