The behavior of the Authority's Security Forces in pursuing fighters has reached a dangerous level
The behavior of the Palestinian Authority Security Forces in pursuing and arresting fighters and confiscating their weapons, the latest of which occurred today in Tulkarem Governorate by besieging the fighter Mohammad Jaber Abu Shuja’ inside Thabet Thabet Hospital where he was receiving treatment, has reached its most dangerous stage. All Palestinian national entities must denounce these actions, condemn them, and work firmly to stop them.
We commend the high public awareness and the swift response of the Tulkarem masses in preventing the arrest of the fighter Abu Shuja’ and breaking the siege on him. We affirm that the leadership of the Authority must restrain its Security Forces from pursuing resistance fighters and those wanted by the zionist occupation in the occupied West Bank, release the detained fighters in its prisons, and use its weapons to protect the Palestinian people who are facing genocide.
The continued shooting at fighters by these Forces, confiscating their weapons, and what they have prepared to defend our people against the occupation forces and settlers contradicts the unified national stance that adopts resistance in all its forms, as reaffirmed in the recent Beijing statement. This policy of the Authority's Forces harms our people's struggle, which sets the finest examples of steadfastness and defiance against the criminal occupation machine in the Gaza Strip.

A son of Salem, Nablus, Musab Akef Shtayyeh is a 30-year-old fighter of the Lions' Den and Al-Qassam Brigades. A friend to martyrs and leaders, and a fighter in defense of his land, Musab was beloved. He is pictured here with martyred Lions' Den founder Wadie Al-Houh, Jenin Brigade and Lions' Den leader martyr Farooq Salameh, martyred commander Ibrahim Al-Nabulsi, and imprisoned Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades leader Jibril Al-Zubeidi.
Shtayyeh participated in the major battles of Nablus, including on July 24th when Lions' Den founders Aboud Soboh and Mohammed Al-Azizi were martyred. A picture shows him with martyr Wadie Al-Houh at Aboud Soboh's grave.
He suffers from cardiomyopathy and hyperthyroidism, making his torture in PA prisons especially difficult. The PA has also attacked his family members repeatedly, as the IOF did previously.
Since April 2022, the zionist entity chased him due to his resistance activity. However, on September 20, 2022, it was not the IOF that kidnapped him, but the forces of the Palestinian Authority, due to alleged transferring of funds to resistance. This abduction ignited intense protests in Nablus, repressed by the PA, who that day murdered martyr Firas Yaish and wounded Anas Abdelfattah, who is still paralyzed. Clashes ignited. Wadie gave his final statement a week before his martyrdom, condemning the Musab's abduction and demanding his release on behalf of Nablus' resistance (video).
