The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, mourns to the masses of our Palestinian people and to the masses of our Arab and Islamic nation one of the figures of our people, and one of the heroes of its resistant history, the member of the Palestinian Legislative Council:
Professor/ Mohammed Shehab Abu Abdulrahman, may Allah have mercy on him
Who passed away sick, deprived of treatment, patient and steadfast in the northern Gaza Strip, like the rest of our great people.
The martyred leader Mohammad Shehab was one of the founders of the resistance work for Hamas and one of its early heroes. He was imprisoned by the occupation for 10 years along with the mujahid Sheikh Ahmed Yassin and the mujahid leader martyr Salah Shehadeh. He also bid farewell to his son Abdulrahman as a martyred fighter, becoming one of the symbols of our people in sacrificing self and offspring.
Professor Mohammad Shehab was also one of the pioneers of our people in popular and political work throughout his life, and one of the bearers of the cause of heroic prisoners. He chaired the Prisoners' Committee in the Legislative Council and remained for years defending them and demanding their freedom.
Hamas, as it bids farewell to the martyr Shehab, confirms its insistence on continuing the path of resistance, steadfastness, and confronting the occupation until its removal. Its leaders will remain alongside the steadfast members of our people, enduring what they endure, sharing their pain and deprivation on one hand, and their steadfastness and challenge on the other.
May Allah have mercy on the martyr Shehab, grant patience to his family, and have mercy on the martyrs of our great Palestinian people.

This decision disregards all relevant international legitimacy resolutions and violates international law, which can no longer be confronted by mere statements, regardless of their source. Instead, the situation requires an effective and influential practical step that guarantees the embodiment of the Palestinian state, in accordance with the Algiers Declaration on 15/11/1988, proclaiming the independence of the State of Palestine.
The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine concluded by calling for liberation from the constraints and obligations of the Oslo Accords.
