"Israel" continues to besiege the wounded and sick in Gaza, preventing them from traveling for treatment after destroying or rendering most hospitals in the Gaza Strip inoperative.

We warn of the potential death of more than 26,000 injured and ill people in urgent need of external transfer for life-saving treatment, in addition to thousands of others who need to travel to complete their treatment.

Since the occupation army took control of the Rafah crossing on May 7 and closed it, the movement of Palestinians, including the travel of the injured and sick for treatment abroad, has ceased.

This comes amid the collapse of the medical system in the Gaza Strip, with 34 out of 36 hospitals rendered non-functional due to systematic “israeli” targeting.

We estimate that more than 12,000 injured people need to travel to save their lives, in addition to 14,000 patients, including about 10,000 cancer patients and others with serious illnesses.

We have received numerous complaints and appeals from injured and sick people in Gaza demanding to be allowed to travel to save their lives.

The ongoing siege and closure of crossings, following the destruction of hospitals and health facilities, constitute an “israeli” decision to carry out mass executions of patients and injured people by intentionally killing them.

We call for urgent international intervention to establish field hospitals in northern Gaza and to pressure "Israel" to stop its repeated attacks on hospitals and ensure the transfer of thousands of urgent cases for treatment abroad.

The international community should effectively pressure "Israel" to ensure the opening of crossings and allow thousands of injured and sick people in Gaza to travel, saving their lives from certain death.
