In a first-ever visit of its kind by the Democratic Front's leadership to Doha: Haniyeh Welcomes Suleiman to Discuss the Developments of the Al-Aqsa Flood and the National Scene
Today, Friday, the brother fighter Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau, along with several leaders of the movement, received Commander Fahd Suleiman, the Secretary-General of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and a number of the front's leaders. This marks the first visit of its kind by the leadership of the Democratic Front to the Qatari capital, Doha, where they discussed political and field developments related to the Battle of the Al-Aqsa Flood and its strategic implications.
At the beginning of the meeting, the two sides paused to honor the martyrs of the Palestinian people and the historical steadfastness shown by our people in the face of all the occupation's crimes of killing, destruction, starvation, attempts of displacement, or creating chaos, all of which have failed. The Secretary-General of the Front and his delegation also offered condolences to the head of the political bureau for the martyrdom of several of his sons, grandchildren, sister, and dozens of his family members.
The participants praised the greatness of our people and the legendary performance of the resistance. They discussed the details of the ongoing battle in Gaza and the operations of the resistance in the West Bank, the state of engagement with the occupation by resistance forces inside and outside Palestine in various arenas, and the impact of this war on the Palestinian cause and the future of the entire region.
The two delegations also discussed the developments in the political and negotiating scene and the efforts made by the brotherly mediators in Qatar and Egypt to end the genocide waged by the zionist occupation and ways to deal with it, as well as the flexibility and positivity shown by the resistance in this regard, and they reaffirmed the resistance's negotiation strategy.
There was an in-depth discussion on the internal Palestinian situation and ways to remove obstacles to achieving unity among our people and their national institutions. This includes enhancing bilateral and national joint work in two directions: first, confronting and thwarting the occupation's plans in the West Bank and Gaza and achieving our people's political and humanitarian goals and aspirations; second, setting common visions and national action plans on the internal Palestinian level, especially in light of the increasing talk about the so-called day after the war, which must be formulated in a distinctly national manner and not according to any other will.
