The crime of the siege of Nablus is an expression of the failure of the occupation's security system in the face of our people's escalating intifada (uprising) in the West Bank.
We in the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) affirm that the continuation of the closure, siege, and collective punishment policy imposed by the occupation on the city of Nablus, for the sixth consecutive day, is nothing but an expression of the state of helplessness and failure experienced by the security system of the occupation in the face of the rising resistance and uprising of our people in general in the occupied West Bank.
As we tighten the hands of our people and our heroic resistance fighters in Nablus, Jenin, Shuafat and the entire West Bank, and as they write the most wonderful epics and heroisms in the face of an arrogant occupation that knows only the language of force, we reiterate the crimes of the occupation, including siege, repression, incursions, and killing. In an act of widespread resistance that many now know of, thousands of men in #Shufat camp have shaved their heads bald in order to protect resistance and community so that the wanted resistance fighter who carried out an operation in Shufat is not able to be easily identified.
Lesser known is that the people of the camp have taken to flooding messaging apps with the name "Oday", to scramble the zionist occupation's intelligence. "Oday" is embedded in every message and voice note from the camp, on every app, no matter how mundane the message is. Everyone has been referring to each other as Oday. This is what community protection looks like. This is "faza'a", community involvement in resistance that Palestinians have been practicing for a century, and a form of mutual aid.

At an event organized by the Prisoners' Committee of the National and Islamic Forces in front of the Red Cross headquarters in Gaza, Masri said: "Today we stand on the brink of a new deal and we see it around the corner. It will take place once again thanks to the power cards of the resistance in Gaza and the ability to manage this issue."
