The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine confirms that the occupation’s decision to expand settlements in the occupied West Bank, legitimize five new settlements, and apply occupation laws in areas administratively controlled by the Palestinian Authority is a prelude to imposing complete security and administrative control over the West Bank according to the plan of the enemy’s finance minister, the war criminal Smoitrich.
The Front believes that these zionist policies are part of the established zionist colonial doctrine to expel and displace our people by perpetuating settlements, consolidating the reality of occupation, and cramming our people into narrow spaces surrounded by settlements, and controlling the movement of West Bank residents with checkpoints and military impositions on them.
The occupation’s intensification of settlement construction operations, the legalization of more settlements, and the imposition of new laws in the [Palestinian] Authority’s areas are a natural result of the disastrous Oslo Accords, which contributed to the occupation’s escalation of its aggression, the multiplying of settlement activity dozens of times, and the imposition of control over all areas of the West Bank, even the areas under the Authority’s control according to the ill-fated agreement.
