In recent years, the Jenin refugee camp has attracted significant attention due to the resurgence of armed conflict within it. This was a major reason for the spread of resistance throughout the West Bank, after it had slowed for 15 years. Jenin, the Wasp's Nest, was the capital of resistance in the second intifada: a third of martyrdom operations had come from Jenin alone. This storied history remained history until revived by the "renewer of the clash."
This major shift in events can be traced back to one person, the founder of the Jenin Brigade, “the renewer of the clash.” Jamil Al-Amouri was the one to fire the first shot that poured into drizzle, rain, storms, and hurricanes, striking the occupation, washing them away, purifying the land from their footsteps.
Born in 1996 in Jenin refugee camp, Jamil was a social, beloved person known for his leadership from a young age. He was the sole breadwinner for his family and worked as a driver. With the approval of his parents, he sold his car, the source of his livelihood, to buy his gun which he named "Nisan," meaning April in Arabic, in reference to the 2002 Battle of Jenin.
Alone, his first operation took place in 2020 when he opened fire on the IOF demolishing the home of the prisoner Ahmed Al-Qanba'a. He continued to carry out operations, firing at colonial checkpoints, resisting the incursions of the occupation of Jenin. His name was entwined with the Jalameh checkpoint; when Jenin's residents heard the sound of gunfire near it, they would say, "This is, of course, Jamil Al-Amouri."
"Let the Shin Bet know, the clash is coming," chanted Jamil, his voice leading a protest in May 2021 during the Battle of Saif Al-Quds, heard in the attached poster. One of the fighters in the Jenin Brigade said he participated in every demonstration in support of Gaza at that time, before firing at the zionist checkpoints. It was during this battle that his family and friends urged him to organize a movement.

Jamil was martyred before seeing the giant of resistance that his project would become. He became one of the most wanted by the occupation due to his involvement in several shooting operations that targeted the checkpoints surrounding the steadfast Jenin.
After several failed assassination attempts and arrests, on June 10 2021, a special zionist force ambush a vehicle carrying Jamil and his comrade-in-arms, prisoner Wissam Abu Zeid. They pursued them and engaged in an armed clash until Jamil's martyrdom Wissam's wounding and abduction. With all might and determination, Jamil was documented rushing towards the zionist forces moments before his martyrdom. His body remains kidnapped by the zionist entity. Two members of the Palestinian Authority's security forces, Adham Yasser Alawi from Nablus and Taysir Mahmoud Eisa from Jenin, were also martyred during the clash after engaging against the occupation.
Jamil's Jenin Brigade, nurtured from Gaza by martyr Tariq Izz El-Din, was officially announced in September 2021, following the "Freedom Tunnel" operation in which six Palestinian prisoners snatched their freedom from a maximum security zionist prison. The fighters affirmed their readiness to defend these prisoners and to protect them by any means necessary in the Jenin camp. Remarkably, the leader of the Freedom Tunnel operation, prisoner Mahmoud Al-Aridah, was also Jamil's mentor in prison.
A fighter of the Jenin Brigade said, “The occupation feared Jamil because he was able to create a new situation in the Jenin camp that went beyond the divisions of factions. It was not only members of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad who joined him, but also young men from Fatah and other factions.”
Today, the Jenin Brigade includes a mixture of Saraya Al-Quds, Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, and Al-Qassam Brigades fighters, but its main component belongs to Saraya Al-Quds, the armed wing of PIJ.

Martyr Mohammed Al-Saadi said, "We used to love him and distinguish him from everyone else. When the camp was asleep, Jamil was wide awake. If he slept, he slept with "Nisan," ready to strike at a moment's notice. Always on guard, it was only when Jamil was sure that his family, friends, and comrades were safe from zionist incursions that we would rest his eyes. The camp recognized the sound of Jamil's gun with every zionist incursion. A leader, he would fire two shots in the air to wake up the camp, and all fighters, such as martyr Abdullah Al-Hosary (pictured) would come down to resist to fight on the front lines.
Jamil was true to his word. Today, with every bullet that rings in every place in the West Bank, his voice echoes. "Tell the Shin Bet. The clash is coming." The promise was kept. The clash is here.

With the downing of the third Hermes 900, one of Israel's most advanced drones, Hizbullah has now eliminated 12% of Israel's reported fleet of 25 such drones. It has now downed a total of 7 Israeli drones since October, resulting in a significant financial loss for Israel. However, the true significance lies in the fact that Israel's once unchallenged aerial supremacy is now under threat. In addition to downing drones, Hizbullah has challenged this superiority by targeting Israeli jets, compelling them to retreat from Lebanese airspace on two occasions last week, infiltrating Israel with its own drones without being detected or intercepted, and even striking Israel's Iron Dome.
Coupled with how Hizbullah has turned the tables by not only creating a buffer zone inside Israel for the first time in its history, forcing tens of thousands of Israelis to flee northern settlements, but also by using the Galilee as a research and development lab to test its weapons - a reversal of Israel's long-standing tactics against Lebanon - it's clear that Israel is now facing the most significant threat in its history and is fighting a new type of enemy.
Hizbullah's current approach marks a significant shift from its previous strategy, which focused primarily on preventing an Israeli occupation and achieving victory by simply surviving. No longer content with defensive measures, Hizbullah has now taken the offensive against Israel, engaging in a protracted war of attrition. The movement’s goals have expanded far beyond mere survival and the liberation of Lebanese territory; it now seeks to compel Israel to change its behaviour and calculations by imposing unprecedented costs. In support of the steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in solidarity with their brave and honorable resistance, the Islamic Resistance carried out several operations against the positions and deployment of the "israeli" enemy army along the Lebanese-Palestinian border on Monday, 10-06-2024, as follows:
- Eastern Sector:
1. Targeted two buildings occupied by "israeli" enemy soldiers in the Manara settlement with appropriate weapons, hitting them directly, killing and wounding the soldiers. This was in response to the enemy's attacks on the resilient southern villages and safe homes, especially in the towns of Houla and Shebaa.
2. At 11:00, targeted newly installed surveillance equipment in the "Ramim" barracks with appropriate weapons, hitting them directly and destroying them.
3. At 10:30, targeted the Bayad Blida site with a precision drone strike, hitting the target accurately.
4. Targeted the "Radar" site in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms along with its guard and technical and surveillance equipment with artillery shells and guided missiles, hitting them directly and destroying the targeted equipment. This was in response to the "israeli" enemy's attacks on the steadfast southern villages and safe homes, especially in the town of Shebaa.
5. Launched an aerial attack with a squadron of attack drones on the headquarters of the Golan Brigade 210 in "Sha’al," targeting the positions of "israeli" enemy officers and soldiers, resulting in confirmed injuries. Part of the headquarters was destroyed and caught fire.
6. During continuous monitoring of the "israeli" enemy's movements in Lebanese airspace, Islamic Resistance fighters ambushed a "Hermes 900" armed drone equipped with missiles intended for attacks on our areas. Upon entering the circle of fire, it was targeted with air defense weapons, hit directly, and downed before it could carry out its attack.
