The Ministry of Health issues an urgent distress call to the international community and its institutions and relief organizations to provide generators for Gaza Strip hospitals.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza has relied on generators for the past 9 months to supply hospitals with the necessary electrical power around the clock after the destruction of the only power plant in the Gaza Strip.

Several generators in hospitals have suffered major technical failures that are difficult to repair, while others have been directly destroyed by the brutal occupation.

We expect the remaining generators in hospitals, health centers, and medicine warehouses to stop functioning due to the prohibition of necessary spare parts for maintenance from entering.

The stoppage of generators means certain death for patients and the injured, and the complete cessation of healthcare services in the Gaza Strip.

The "israeli" occupation forces deliberately destroyed generators at Al-Shifa Complex, Nasser Complex, the Indonesian Hospital, and Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, aiming to take them out of service.

Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital is still operating on a single generator after one of the main generators failed, which threatens an impending humanitarian disaster.

The Ministry of Health continues its communications with international institutions, primarily the International Committee of the Red Cross, to supply new generators and spare parts since the beginning of the aggression, but to no avail due to the obstinacy of the "israeli" occupation.
