Khaled Al-Najjar "Abu Ubadah" (Media 1) and Yassin Rabie (Media 3), both freed prisoners who were deported to Gaza, and members of Hamas leadership in the West Bank, ascended to martyrdom in a cowardly assassination in the Gaza Strip, along with freed and deported prisoner Khuwailid Ramadan (Media 4).
Yassin Rabie, of Al-Mazraa Al-Gharbiya in #Ramallah, Khuwailid Ramadan of Tal, #Nablus Khaled Al-Najjar, of Silwad, #Ramallah were comrades in resistance and martyrdom (Media 2: Yassin and Khaled). Yassin and Khuwailid imprisoned together, companions in exile, and ascended together in the Rafah massacre.
Khaled, meanwhile, whose nickname was "Asaker" was interrogated in 2002 due to his leadership of a resistance cell that killed 17 IOF soldiers and wounded 25 others near #Nablus. His cell was known as the most complex in the history of the armed resistance in the West Bank, carrying out the Ein Yabrud operation in October 19, 2003 among many others. Moments before this operation, Khaled was beaten by a soldier while scouting the location because he didn't have his ID, only to kill the soldier that beat him after the operation began.
When he was shackled by all his limbs, the IOF chief of staff at the time (Shaul Mofaz) said to him "Kol Kavod ya Khaled" (All respect, Khaled). Khaled responded jokingly, "Shaul! What are you doing here?" Shaul responded, "I wanted to meet the head of the Ein Yabrud operation. I have a question: what are the negative things you observed in your work against us?" Khaled replied, "Negative points? Ask me about the positive points!" Mofaz said, "What concerns me are the negative points. I know the positive ones." Khaled replied, "No, by God, ask me about the positive points." Mofaz asked, "What are they?"
Khaled said, "You don't have any positive points. When we attacked your military positions, we sought death and martyrdom, while your soldiers sought life. And when your soldiers seek death, they will find life." Mofaz responded, "Forget the philosophy. We will demolish your house, and your children will be displaced." Khaled replied, "I don't advise you. It's just two rooms of brick, not worth it. And when you demolish them, the kids in the neighborhood will grow up to be fiercer than me."
Indeed, the children were fiercer.
When Khaled was released in the Gilad Shalit deal, he ceaselessly continued his resistance against the zionist entity from #Gaza. A symbolic funeral was held for Khaled today in his hometown of Silwad, #Ramallah.
In his hometown of Tal, #Nablus, a funeral was held in honor of Khuwailid Ramadan following his martyrdom (Media 7 and 8). His banner featured the legendary Qassam commander from Tal, Nasr El-Din Asida (Media 5).
