Who are the Al-Qassam Brigades?

The Martyr Izz El-Din Al-Qassam Brigades is the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement - Hamas, which resists with weapons and force the zionist occupation in Palestine with the aim of liberating the land.

Establishment:

The seeds of the Al-Qassam Brigades were sown in 1986, before the official announcement of the movement's inception under the name Hamas. The operations continued under various names until 1992, when the name Martyr Izz El-Din Al-Qassam Brigades was officially announced in the first statement issued by the Brigades on January 1, 1992.

General Objective:

These are our immutable principles, and rights do not diminish with time. This is how we began, and we continue on this path.

Our Legitimate Principles:

3. Exhausting effort and energy in jihad against the enemy is a duty imposed by Islam, and taking necessary measures is a religious requirement, while neglecting them is a sin, and relying solely on them is shirk (associating partners with God).
4. Our battle with the zionists is because they occupied Palestine, not because of their Judaism.
5. Palestine is Islamic land, and it is not permissible to acknowledge any right to the aggressor on it or to concede any part of it.
6. Unifying ranks to face the enemy is a religious obligation that cannot be neglected under any circumstances.

1. The current struggle on the land of Palestine is fundamentally a civilizational struggle.
2. The struggle on the land of Palestine is a global conflict in which the zionist Jews mobilize all their resources and capabilities, so we must mobilize similarly.
3. The support and participation of the Christian-zionist West in creating the zionist Jewish state on the land of Palestine is the implantation of an alien "entity."
4. We believe that there is no possibility whatsoever for permanent coexistence between the Islamic national project on one hand and the zionist project on the other on the land of Palestine.
5. The Palestinian people, with all its segments and factions, in all its places of presence, are a single body that cannot be divided. They participate in resisting the occupation with us side by side with all available means.
6. We work to achieve all the legitimate rights of our people, foremost of which is the liberation of their homeland within its known historical borders.

Our relationship with the political leadership of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas is one of organizational integration and operational separation. We are part of the structure and body of Hamas, participating in decision-making and direction according to its internal regulations, and separating from the political leadership in the practical aspects related to military work.

Our Concept of Phases:

In our jihad and resistance path to liberate Palestine, we can accept the phased liberation of parts of Palestine and the consequences of this liberation. We can also accept a temporary and conditional truce to alleviate our people's suffering and serve as a warrior's rest, but without compromising any rights or principles and without recognizing the state of the usurping zionist entity.
