*Brief on detention campaigns carried out in the West Bank since October 7 until May 26, 2024*

The total number of arrests stands at (8875) in the West Bank and Jerusalem.


. Women: the total number of women arrests stands at (295) including women arrested from the lands occupied in 1948, in addition to Gazan women who have been arrested in the West Bank.

. Children: the number of children arrests stands at (630)

. Journalists: (76) journalists have been arrested, (49) of them are still under arrest, and (12) detainees from Gaza

. More than (5900) orders of administrative detention have been issued since October 7, ranging between new orders and renewals, including orders against children and women.


Detention campaigns carried out since October 7 are accompanied by escalated crimes and violations such as humiliation, brutal beat, threats against detainees and their families, besides to vandalism and destruction in detainees’ houses, confiscating vehicles, gold and money, in addition to the destruction of infrastructure especially in the refugee camps of Tulkarem and Jenin.

Statistics include detainees who were arrested from their houses, on checkpoints, who surrendered themselves and those who were arrested as hostages.

Besides to detention campaigns, the Israeli forces implemented field executions, afflicted detainees and their family members.

(18) detainees martyred in Israeli prisons and military camps since the 7th of October: (Omar Daraghmeh from Tubas, Arafat Hamdan from Ramallah, Majed Zaqqul from Gaza, the fourth martyr’s identity is unknown, Abdulrahman Maree from Salfit, Thaer Abu Assab from Qalqilia, Abdulrahman Bahsh from Nablus, Muhammad Sabbar from Hebron, Khaled Shawish from Tubas, Ezz Al-deen banna from Gaza, Assef Refae from Ramallah, Ahmad Qdaih and Jumaa Abu Ghnaimeh, Walid Daqqa, Abdulraheem Amer, Dr. Adnan Barsh, Ismail Khader) in addition to the wounded detainee Muhammad Abu Snaineh from Jerusalem, who martyred in Hadassa Hospital.

It is said that the corpses of (16) detainees who martyred after October 7 are still withheld, among (27) martyrs.
It is worth mentioning that the Israeli media revealed information that indicates the martyrdom of tens of detainees from Gaza in military camps, while the occupation authorities refused to reveal their identities. Moreover, they acknowledged the execution of many detainees.

- Our fighters targeted a zionist Merkava tank with an RPG-85 shell in the Tabet Zari area east of Rafah. They then detonated an explosive device next to it, leading to the tank being hit and resulting in the death and injury of its crew members.

🚨 Two medical staff working at Kuwait Specialized Hospital were martyred as a result of being targeted by “israeli” reconnaissance aircraft while they were on duty in front of the hospital gate in the center of Rafah.

The martyrs from the medical staffs are:

- Musab Sami Dakhlallah Al-Arja (22 years old)

The “israeli” occupation army continues to prevent the supply of fuel to Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Hospital since the afternoon of Sunday, May 26, 2024, until now, threatening to stop health services within the next four hours for all hospital departments. This portends a deep health and humanitarian disaster. This is the second time this has happened in less than a week, as the occupation delayed, and we nearly lost dozens of injured and sick people as a result.

The administration of Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Hospital warns of the serious repercussions of the occupation's decision to prevent the supply of fuel to the hospital, considering it as part of the pressure on medical staff and the already fragile health sector, ultimately leading to the complete shutdown of hospital operations in the Gaza Strip.

Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Hospital provides medical care and health services to more than 1,200 patients and injured people, including 600 kidney failure patients who require a continuous power supply to benefit from dialysis services, which will stop within a few hours if fuel is not supplied to the hospital.

The hospital administration holds the “israeli” occupation and the American administration fully responsible for this heinous crime, which deprives patients of their right to treatment and medication. It calls on all countries worldwide to condemn this brutal crime.

We appeal to the international community and all international and UN organizations to pressure the Israeli occupation to supply 50,000 liters of fuel to the hospital to ensure the functioning of medical staff for the next ten days.

Failure to supply fuel to the hospital or delaying it threatens a health and humanitarian disaster for hundreds of patients and injured people and essentially amounts to a death sentence for these patients and injured people.
