The northern Gaza Strip is still suffering from clear signs of famine, as the occupation uses starvation as a weapon of war against the population of the Gaza Strip in general, and the north of the Strip in particular. This is being done by closing the crossings, tightening the blockade, cutting off food supplies, basic goods, water, medicine, electricity, and bombing and destroying all means of survival and livelihood, foremost among them hospitals and healthcare facilities.

Many organizations and international bodies, foremost among them the World Food Programme and the Humanitarian Coordinator, have warned of a real famine facing the residents of Gaza and North Gaza Governorates. Weeks ago, when the starvation war intensified, citizens were forced to grind animal feed and grains to stave off hunger and feed their children. International calls and American statements began to demand the necessity of delivering aid and saving North Gaza from an imminent famine.

As usual, the occupation circumvented these demands by temporarily mitigating the famine and delaying its occurrence, attempting to improve its image through superficial and illusory facilitation by allowing the entry of some aid shipments, most of which were loaded with flour. A limited number of bakeries were opened under the supervision of the World Food Programme.

Based on these illusory facilitations, the UN demands and international warnings of famine disappeared, as if the causes had ceased to exist. Despite this, the occupation has been preventing the entry of essential goods such as sugar, oils, milk, wheat, fruits, meat, and eggs for a month. It also restricts the entry of vegetables in quantities that make them prohibitively expensive for most citizens to buy, in addition to continuing to prevent the entry of gas and fuel since the beginning of the aggression.

This reality indicates that the occurrence of famine in the northern Strip has become inevitable, with signs of malnutrition appearing among all residents of the northern Strip, which is one of the indicators of its occurrence due to the lack of available food sources as needed by a normal human being in terms of quantity and quality.

We call on the United Nations and the international community to urgently act to stop the starvation war and to bring in the necessities for the citizens in North Gaza. We affirm that all talk of facilitations and increased aid trucks is mere eyewash and a distortion of reality. We have previously clarified this by revealing the numbers and types of aid trucks that have entered North Gaza, which amounted to only 419 trucks throughout an entire month.

The fighters of the Brigade have been able, thanks to Allah and His help, to detonate a large number of explosive devices and mines, especially in the areas of Jabal Abu Dhayr, the Al-Nadi area, and the Al-Damj neighborhood. They have achieved direct casualties among the ranks of the occupation forces and their vehicles.

Saraya Al-Quds confirms that it will continue to confront the occupation in defense of our land and to support our people in the Gaza Strip during the Al-Aqsa Flood battle.
