In the last few days, new encampments in solidarity with Gaza have sprouted up across Europe, including at University of Edinburgh (the first university encampment in Scotland), Trinity College Dublin in Ireland, University College London, University of Manchester, University of Liverpool, University of Bologna in Italy, University of Copenhagen in Denmark, University of Gent in Belgium, and the Roeterseiland campus in Amsterdam.
An encampment has also been set up at the University of Puerto Rico. In Scotland, the non-university encampment outside of the Scottish Parliament is ongoing.
In the US, Columbia University cancelled its commencement graduation ceremony today, after university administration called police to campus to violently arrest 200 of its own students. Emory University has also cancelled some graduation events. Police today raided the encampment at University of California San Diego.
The number of Princeton University students on the third day of hunger strike until their demands are met has increased to 17.
