Hundreds of students at the University of Havana in Cuba gathered to show their support for Palestine, condemning the repression that US students have faced in recent weeks and US policy towards Palestine.
In contrast to the protests taking place in the US, the university president Miriam Nicado took place in the protests, addressing students to tell them that the university's administration will always stand with Palestine.
Nicado stated, "We will always support you in your fights against genocide, against war, against murderers!...Down with war! To the victory, always!"
A student added, "Why do they attack the students that have a higher moral force than all the officials in the White House today?... Let them condemn us if they want; history will absolve the cause of the Palestinian people."
