On the occasion of World Press Freedom Day, we remember the great sacrifices made by the journalistic and media teams in the occupied Palestinian territories to expose the war crimes committed by the zionist entity, which show the world the barbarity of the usurping entity, broadcasting the killings, destruction, field executions, arbitrary arrests, and mass graves to the world through sound, image, and live transmission.

Since the beginning of the current aggression on the Gaza Strip, the zionist enemy has deliberately carried out targeted assassinations against dozens of journalists and media workers, resulting in 141 martyrs so far in Gaza alone, not to mention the dozens of arrests and injuries.

On World Press Freedom Day, it is necessary to highlight the cases of repression practiced by the entity's agencies to muzzle mouths and impose police surveillance on our people in the occupied lands of 1948, as in the honorable Al-Quds. At the same time, the occupation forces in the occupied West Bank are beating and arbitrarily arresting journalists, confiscating their press equipment, and preventing them from covering events freely and objectively, in a blatant violation of basic human rights and freedom of expression.

We call on international institutions and international human rights organizations to urgently and effectively intervene to stop these serious violations against journalists in Palestine, and to oblige the zionist enemy to respect the rights of the press and expression, enabling journalists to perform their work freely and without fear of punishment or threat.

The Columbia University chapter of the American Administration of University Professors calls for a vote of no confidence in Columbia president "Minouche Shafik" and all university administration, citing the unauthorized summoning of the NYPD to campus on the night of April 30th.

The decision to summon the police was carried out without permission by the University Senate or faculty, and resulted in the arrest of hundreds of students and use of force by the NYPD. Yesterday, it was revealed that an NYPD officer fired his gun inside of Hind's Hall, which had been occupied by student protestors.

The faculty condemned the "militarized lockdown" of the university, which has "irrevocably undermined" their trust in the administration. They cite the "culmination of shocking failures in decision-making" over the last seven months for the erosion of trust, noting the failure to respect student and faculty rights to free speech.

They called for the reopening of the university and withdrawal of the NYPD, which Shafik asked to remain on campus until May 17th.

Firstly: Targeting all ships violating the "israeli" navigation ban decision and heading towards the ports of occupied Palestine in the Mediterranean Sea in any area within our reach.

Secondly: This implementation begins from the moment of announcing this statement.

Thirdly: Should the "israeli" enemy proceed with a aggressive military aggressive against Rafah, the Yemeni Armed Forces will impose comprehensive sanctions on all ships of companies involved in supplying and accessing the occupied Palestinian ports, regardless of nationality, and will prevent all ships of these companies from passing through the operational area of the Armed Forces, regardless of their destinations.

The zionist Nazi aggression against our people enters its eighth month, amidst its violation of all the essentials of life and the pillars of societal stability. The government institution has been at the forefront of the occupation's target list, with a clear aim to destroy the government work system and prevent it from fulfilling its duty to serve our people.

To achieve this goal, the occupation has committed dozens of massacres and crimes against government institutions and their staff, resulting in about 2,400 martyrs from the government institution, while the occupation destroyed nearly 200 government headquarters, bombing ministries, service centers, and even hospitals were not spared from the zionist machinery of destruction. More than three thousand government employees were injured due to the aggression, while the occupation army arrested hundreds of them, most of whom were abducted from their workplaces in hospitals and various service centers.

The occupation deliberately targeted government leaders, assassinating many, including the Head of the Crossings and Borders Authority, the National Security Commander, the Rafah Crossing Official, and others. Yet, the government institution maintained its duty towards our people and strove to remain cohesive amidst the systematic and repeated targeting by the occupation of its crews in the field.

Today, we renew our pledge to our people to be as steadfast and resilient as you are, to remain faithful to the sacred blood shed by the occupation, and not to betray the trust of responsibility that our people have entrusted to us. We remain committed to performing our duty, no matter the sacrifices and challenges.
