It has been 208 days since this most recent and most horrific chapter of the 75-year US-zionist genocide in Gaza began. Over 40,000 Palestinians have been martyred, but the actual death toll is likely upward of 100,000. Despite the mobilizations of millions around the world, we must acknowledge that we have not been able to stop the genocide — we have not come even close. This is a failure, but not a defeat. It demands we reckon with our errors and recalculate our strategy to win.

After October 7, we recognized immediately the need for escalatory resistance to imperialism's escalating violence. Inspired by the success of Palestine Action UK's campaign, we launched Palestine Action US, a direct action network targeting Elbit Systems, the largest zionist weapons company on earth. As new Palestine Action groups have formed globally, our actions have contributed to divestments from Elbit, drops in Elbit's profits, the sale of a US Elbit subsidiary, and the permanent closing of another Elbit factory in the UK. Through our many trials and errors, we also learned that tactics used in the UK, which has a very different legal system and economic makeup, could not simply be copy-pasted into the US context. Instead of solely targeting Elbit, we have expanded our scope to meet the urgent task of building capacity for direct action and militancy in the US anti-imperialist movement.

We make this intervention at a moment when escalation is more realizable than ever. On April 15, we saw a coordinated yet decentralized action which drove people across the world to take direct action against points of production and logistics networks including ports, bridges, weapons manufacturers, and financial institutions, targeting the very economic arteries of imperialism. Then, on April 17, students and other young people launched dozens of Gaza solidarity encampments across the US, from Columbia to Cal Poly, occupying and barricading buildings, establishing liberated zones, and defeating police invasions. In mere weeks, the anti-imperialist movement in the Belly of the Beast has advanced to a level of militancy not seen in generations. But the genocide is ongoing and the zionist invasion of Rafah is imminent. We still have a long way to go to break the war machine. 
Here are 5 of our reflections: 

1. Above all else, ESCALATE. We join in the calls to #Escalate4Gaza beyond symbolic action, because we know power won't move unless we strike fear in the heart of the ruling class and pose a threat to their reproduction of capital. As our comrades from Within Our Lifetime wrote, "Enough with de-escalation trainings; Where are the escalation trainings!" Escalate from mass rallies to mass blockades of weapons companies; from encampments to building occupations; from getting kettled by the police to kettling them back. Let repression breed more resistance. We will not disavow any actions taken to escalate the struggle, including militant direct actions. Our notion of "safety" in the imperial core is built on centuries of corpses, and this liberal framing of "safetyism" prevents us from escalating and winning, which is our duty to Palestine and us all. We keep us safe by escalating. Don't hesitate to take more risk.

2. Resist repression and abandon symbolic arrests. We regret using this self-sacrificial tactic ourselves at times. While actions sometimes result in arrests, and those engaged in serious action ought to prepare for that outcome, it should never be the goal to lose our organizers to the carceral system. The goal should always be to achieve whatever we set out to achieve, and then get home safe. Our most successful actions were covert and decentralized. Form an affinity group or cell with people you trust, and take action; when confronted by police, learn tactics to protect yourself and your comrades - barricades, de-arrest, strategic formations, and community defense (we have compiled many resources on these tactics). As our comrades at Cal Poly wrote, "The pro-Palestinian movement must be a movement against the police." We must no longer be a sea of helpless subjects, begging for crumbs and crying foul at the bullying of the pigs. We must stop appealing to the respectability of monsters, to whom we owe nothing.

3. Break open the university gates. To those holding down campus occupations, your first task is to open the campus to the community and reject the distinction between students and “outside agitators." The popular movement for Palestine is currently based out of the universities, but students are not the sole leaders, and non-students possess a reservoir of knowledge and experience to expand the struggle beyond the campus. We must create our own "popular cradle" of resistance. The most effective occupations have been where students have strong alliances with non-students, and where they connect the struggle to Free Palestine with the struggle against US fascism and Cop Cities everywhere.

4. Diversity of tactics only works if we are building more militancy. We have always called for a wide ecosystem of tactics, from boycotts to mass rallies to the sabotage and dismantling of genocidal infrastructure. There is a dialectical relationship between the underground and aboveground; clandestine actions need to express the general will of the movement and garner support from its above-ground organizers. As long as other groups do not interfere, peace police, or co-opt our militancy, we must build as broad possible unity, inspired by the Palestinian resistance's concept of "Unity of the Fields," whereby, despite our differing ideologies, short-term objectives, and locations, we all can work towards one common goal. We need people doing jail support, media, fundraising, and community care — but it is time for more of us to step up to the front line.

5. We in the US are not exempt from resistance. It is insincere to glorify the Palestinian resistance if, at the same time, we do not raise our own resistance here. The siege on Gaza is a rehearsal of the future the ruling class has planned for all oppressed people if we do not resist. When we step into the international struggle in a substantive way, we reclaim our power and our humanity; we stop bickering over which futile means will, or (almost certainly) won't shame the oppressor into a state of reasonable concession, and we recognize that building an infrastructure of militancy for the larger struggle against imperialism and the establishment of a new world is the only effective route we can take, and is, in fact, the easier, softer way. Our resistance to the genocide in Gaza is a piece of that effort, or it is theater. We are not naïve enough to think the revolution will come through "peaceful" means or spontaneous uprisings without organized militancy. Nor do we think that the self-proclaimed vanguard of the "organized" left, the student bureaucrats and smooth-talkers without an ounce of front-line experience, are capable of fomenting the kinds of organization actually required in this moment. The new forms of leadership and initiative will emerge from those barricaded inside of classroom buildings, those who carry shields, who are kicking back tear gas canisters. Rebellious movements must prepare to defend ourselves from repression during states of siege, and "to outmaneuver, exhaust, demoralize, confuse, and overpower the repressive might of the state. Those who do not believe this is possible do not believe that the revolution is possible." We know revolution will come within our lifetimes. We will make sure of it.

Ahmad Abu Al-Ful from Tulkarem camp, a resistance fighter in Saraya Al-Quds and leader of the martyrdom unit of the Tulkarem Brigade, has ascended to martyrdom after the treacherous Palestinian Authority’s Security Forces opened fire on his vehicle multiple times earlier today.

He is the third martyr to ascend by PA gunfire in Tulkarem in the last year, after Abdel Qader Zaqdeh and Motasim Al-Arif.

The martyrdom of a resistance fighter by the bullets of the [Palestinian] Authority in Tulkarem is an atrocious crime and a deepening in the shedding of Palestinian blood.

What the Security Forces of the Authority did this evening by firing at one of the resistance fighters, one of those wanted by the occupation from the sons of the Tulkarem Brigade, resulting in his martyrdom, is a cowardly and condemnable act.

This action is a heinous crime and clearly demonstrates the excesses of these Forces and their deep involvement in the shedding of Palestinian blood, surpassing the red lines related to the values of our people and our religious and national taboos.

The audacity of the members of these forces in firing towards citizens, let alone the honorable fighters pursued by the occupation, raises a significant national question about the role entrusted to these forces.

It would be more appropriate for these forces to protect the people from the terror of the occupation and the settlers, who daily violate all the cities and villages of the West Bank and commit the most heinous crimes against our people, their land, and their sanctities, rather than chasing and killing the fighters who have dedicated themselves to defending their people against the occupation.

🟡🟢 Exclusive footage of Hezbollah targeting "Iron Dome" batteries in northern occupied Palestine is released to Al-Jazeera, as well as the monitoring of soldiers and Elbit Hermes drones (1/2).

The exclusive footage reveals Hezbollah's ability to precisely track the movements of IOF soldiers at newly established sites and points far from the border, both annexes to existing posts and new ones.

In these images, the resistance was able to identify the positions and target them with appropriate weapons, documenting these targetings and their consequences, starting from monitoring and tracking, through targeting, and ending with documenting losses in equipment and soldiers.

Hezbollah now has precise intelligence information about the work and equipment of the IOF and the functional role many sites, including the new Jaatoun sites, 9km kilometers from the border and used the 146th Division (which includes 5 IOF brigades and includes operational command centers and intelligence ones). The report discusses other bases which have been active and reinforced, such as Nafah, Keila, Ruwaisat Al-Alam, and the Northern Command headquarters, and the operations taking place there that Hezbollah has learned of.

At 3:30, exclusive footage reveals the monitoring and reconnaissance operations that enabled Hezbollah to uncover the positions of "Iron Dome" batteries stations near the settlement of "Kfar Blum" using a tactic called "fire luring." The footage reveals that Hezbollah launched munitions toward the sites and documented the interception process carried out by the "Iron Dome," which enabled Hezbollah to execute a high-precision qualitative operation.

The scenes at 4:25 reveal a successful targeting of the "Iron Dome" batteries, without them being able to detect, track, or thwart the attack. Then, exclusive photos obtained by Al Jazeera show Hezbollah's intelligence penetration of the IOF soldiers in these newly established sites, and the ability to document the geographical details and the size of the fortifications used.

The images at 5:00 also show the IOF using civilian facilities and buildings to hide and position themselves. The high technical precision and clarity of the photos being revealed for the first time indicate Hezbollah's possession of intelligence means and technologies that enable it to track the activities of the IOF, and its effectiveness in surveillance on land, and the ability to conduct reconnaissance by fire.

The element of surprise was evident in the ability of Hezbollah fighters to conduct aerial reconnaissance, avoiding the exposure of the drone used in the information gathering and filming operation, despite the presence of a wide-ranging radar arc covering the entire border area and beyond it by hundreds of kilometers. This is the role of the "Meron" military base, which is one of two "israeli" air surveillance bases covering the area extending from Syria and Lebanon to Turkey and the northern basin of the Mediterranean Sea. "Meron" base is a center for air traffic control in the north and includes a main center for electronic jamming operations.

According to a Lebanese military source, since October 8, Hezbollah's operations have shown a striking ability in the precise management of the battle, whether in terms of the escalating detection of the types of weapons used or the progression in the methods of using whatever is possible from the combat arsenal and intelligence equipment.

The exclusive footage at 6:54 show precise monitoring of the flight of Elbit Systems Hermes 450 and Hermes 900 drones, the "backbone of IOF drone force." The Lebanese military source says that the footage shows the ability of Hezbollah's monitoring units to track drones, which primarily involve monitoring and reconnaissance.

O great masses of our people, O the free and the honorable, we address you as matters have reached a significant level, surpassing treachery, betrayal, and normalization.

We address you as your sons who have only emerged to defend your honor, your sanctities, and the soil of your violated and usurped land. We were never bandits, thieves, nor merchants of your cause which the henchmen of the occupation have sold cheaply in the market of cowardice and betrayal.

The city of Tulkarem, with its camps, has become a front of jihad and a destination loved by everyone who loves Allah and His Messenger. The path of thorns followed by those who reached Allah's pleasure before us annoys the enemies of Allah and everyone who aids them.

The Security Forces of the traitorous [Palestinian] Authority confronted us with a heinous crime, worse than its predecessors; from you, we have only known betrayal and the pursuit and handover of the honorable to the enemies of Allah, and the crushing of every jihad effort in the West Bank.

The [Security] Forces of treachery targeted the car of the fighter Ahmad Abu Al-Ful, shooting him directly, and it was later announced that he was martyred after attempts at resuscitation. This crime is just like any assassination operation by the special "israeli" units, such as the assassination of Jihad Shehadeh, Izz al-Din Awad, and their brothers in Tulkarem, Al-Shishani [Adham Mabrouka] and his brothers in Nablus, and Al-Saif [Abu Libdeh] and his comrades on the road to Arraba.

The martyr, the fighter Ahmad Abu Al-Ful, a member of the Tulkarem Brigade in Saraya Al-Quds, everyone attests that he joined his brothers in confronting the occupation with every incursion into the city, whether in Tulkarem camp or Nour Shams camp.

So O honorable people of this nation, is this the reward for someone who stood and fought the world's fiercest armies for more than fifty hours? Is this the reward for someone those who offered more than 70 martyrs, who does not accept dishonor in their religion, who refuses betrayal and strives for the liberation of the land from the filth of the oppressors?

But by Allah, your silence on the injustice of the oppressors and the betrayal of the traitors is but knives cutting us into pieces. By your deadly silence, you have left us to the dogs to tear our flesh with voracity and tranquility.

O sons of our great people, we mobilize you all to come out in marches of anger and disobedience against this corrupt regime, and to stand as one man with your brothers, the fighters defending your honor and sacred sites.

We in the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement emphasize that this crime serves the zionist enemy and comes in implementation of its goals of pursuing, prosecuting, and executing the fighters. The direct shooting of the car of the fighter Ahmad Abu Al-Ful and the clear injuries are only confirmation that the shooting was carried out with the intention of determined and premeditated killing.
