🔴 On International Workers' Day,

🔴 Prisoner Institutions: The occupation has arrested thousands of Palestinian workers after the seventh of October

🔴 Among them, three have been martyred in the occupation's prisons

1/5/2024
The Israeli occupation system has targeted Palestinian workers, as well as all segments of the Palestinian people, over many decades. Arrests and persecution have been among the occupation's prominent policies. Moreover, a significant portion of Palestinian prisoners who have struggled for the freedom of their land and people come from the working class. Over the years, the occupation has worked on developing its tools and policies to target them, depriving them of their rights, and imposing further control and surveillance on their right to work and life.
In a statement issued by the Prisoner Institutions (Prisoner Institutions :The Commission of Detainees Affairs, The Palestinian Society Prisoners' Club, Addameer Institution for Prisoner Support and Human Rights) on the occasion of International Workers' Day, which falls on the first of May every year, they affirmed that amidst the escalating aggression of the occupation and the beginning of the genocidal war against our people in Gaza over the course of about 7 months, the issue of Palestinian workers has become prominent. This is seen in light of the escalating crimes and systematic violations against them, including arrests, persecution, and torture.
Thousands of Palestinian workers from all Palestinian geographies have been subjected to mass arrests and systematic crimes, specifically after the seventh of October. This falls within the framework of the collective punishment policy that the occupation has escalated in an unprecedented manner compared to periods in Palestine marked by uprisings and broad popular waves against the Israeli occupation system.👇

🇮🇷 Iran’s Supreme Leader, Sayyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei via X:

Today, Gaza is the world’s dominant issue. The zionists and their American and European supporters are unable to remove the issue of Gaza from the attention of the world’s public opinion. Just look at the universities in the US and in Europe.

The issue of Gaza must not be allowed to be downgraded from being the world’s dominant issue. Pressure on the zionist regime must keep increasing day by day.

See how the US is reacting to the verbal opposition to “israel”. The American Students aren’t chanting slogans about destroying anything, they haven’t killed anyone or they haven’t set anything on fire. But they are being treated like that.

The way the US government treats students proves in action the collaboration and complicity of the US with the zionist regime in the massive crime of the genocide being carried out in Gaza.

Even if they try for another 30 years, the US and Europe won’t be able to keep the zionist regime in power and nothing will be solved. The problem will be solved when Palestine is returned to its rightful owners, the Palestinian people.
Under protection of bystanding police, zionists violently attacked pro-Palestinian demonstrators at UCLA, drawing parallels to the IOF's protection of zionist settlers that attack Palestinian villages.

In contrast to the massive police presence seen at other universities, UCLA and city police were few in number, doing little to stop the provocateurs who shot fireworks and assaulted those calling for an end to genocide.

Whether it is evacuation notices, a heavy militarized and repressive police force, shutting down WiFi and water (such as at University of Minnesota), or shutting down community pantries and gates to starve student protestors (at CUNY and Columbia) as collective punishment, the parallels between the methods of oppression in the US and zionist entity are as clear as day.

Despite the repression at UCLA, students are holding the line, rebuilding barricades, and standing steadfast in their encampment.
Sources to Lebanese newspaper “Al-Akhbar”:

The leadership of the resistance in Gaza and abroad sent a message to international bodies in contact with the Americans, the British, and the United Nations, rejecting any military presence of any party on the land of Gaza under the pretext of facilitating the transfer of aid.

The message clearly stated, surprising international bodies, that “the military brigades of the resistance will consider any soldier who sets foot on Gazan land a hostile target, and will be dealt with as an occupying force.”

Subsequently, the British authorities informed the American side of their decision to “reconsider” their initial approval to equip a security company that includes former military personnel to assume the task of protecting the aid after it is disembarked from the floating dock. The British stated that they did not have any guarantee that their members would not be exposed to resistance fire.

🚨 IOF air defenses have been activated in the skies of Umm Al-Rashrash (“Eilat”), southern occupied Palestine, with no activation of missile sirens.
🚨 Yemeni naval sources told Al-Akhbar that the military tension between the Yemeni Armed Forces and the American and British navies has escalated to the highest levels over the past 48 hours, describing it as an "open naval war."

Numerous explosions were reported off the coasts of Khokha, Mokha, and Khor Omaira, across the Bab Al-Mandab strait.

Commercial ship traffic was stopped for hours because of the clashes.

Another naval source in Sanaa revealed to Al-Akhbar that "the Yemeni naval operations carried out in recent hours bear significant implications and reflect the extent of the military capabilities of the Sanaa forces."

The source explained that the Yemeni Armed Forces operation targeting "Orion" in the Indian Ocean this week involved advanced aircraft and occurred at the furthest point to west of Madagascar in the southern Indian Ocean, a significant development that will have significant repercussions on the "israeli" commercial ships coming through the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa to the ports of the zionist entity.
🚨 Zionist sources reported that the occupation's court categorically rejected the petition submitted by prisoner Marwan Barghouti to alleviate his prison conditions.

Marwan, a member of Fatah's Central Committee and founder of Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, has been imprisoned for over 20 years due to his role in the first and second intifadas.

The occupation's court claimed that his demands ignore the changes made in the conditions of security prisoners following October 7th. They argued that holding prisoner Marwan Barghouti at this time in a regular wing and not in isolation "would assist Hamas and contribute to a variety of negative events inside the prison."

In his petition, prisoner Marwan stated that he was held in subhuman conditions, without basic hygiene equipment, and suffered humiliation and violence from the occupation prison's guards. He described how he was attacked by armed soldiers who broke into his cell and beat him until he lost consciousness before throwing into an inner courtyard of the zionist prison, where he laid for several hours without receiving medical treatment or water.

🚨 The city council of Richmond, California has voted to divest its investments from the zionist entity, taking their money out of a number of companies complicit in genocide, including Microsoft, AirBnb, IBM, Caterpillar, and Intel.

The resolution that passed includes restrictions on investments in companies involved in arms production, mass incarceration, and border surveillance, such as Elbit Systems.

The mayor stated: "I want to honor all those who have been resisting this genocide for over 29 weeks in Gaza and around the world. So many young people have put their bodies and livelihoods on the line to voice their resistance to what is happening. The moral urgency of this moment cannot be overstated.

"With the passing of this resolution, our city will no longer profit in any way from companies who facilitate this kind of massive violence and ethnic cleansing we're seeing in Gaza."

Richmond is the second city to divest, after Hayward, California.
