Firstly: We mourn the worker martyrs from our Palestinian people; from the martyrs of the crushing who sparked the first Intifada, and the martyrs of Black Sunday in the Oyoun Qara massacre, and from the caravans of our martyrs in the Al-Aqsa Flood battle, who perished by the brutal occupation machinery while defending their right to freedom, dignity, and decent living on their land.
Secondly: We salute all Palestinian workers, in every inch of our historic land, and in the refugee and diaspora camps, who hold on to their legitimate rights and defend them with patience and heroism, rejecting the unjust siege and the crimes inflicted upon them by the occupation and its racist and vengeful policies, in Gaza Strip, throughout the West Bank and the occupied interior, proving that they are at the heart of our people's heroic battle in Al-Aqsa Flood, steadfast on their land, clinging to their rights and defending their sanctities.

Despite heavy police repression, protestors in solidarity with Gaza at University of South Florida fight back.
Students equipped themselves with umbrellas to guard against tear gas and rubber bullets when their encampment was attacked. They wore heat resistant gloves to be able to throw back the tear gas, and contained the canisters in an unsealed wide-mouth water jug.
This confrontation came after an astonishing escalation of police violence, which resulted in a handful of arrests. The next day, the protestors stood their ground against hundreds of police. A student reported: "Police used illegal tactics like choking people, attacking people with disabilities, arresting people who were already dispersing, and they even set off fires, endangering students."
