A leading delegation from Hamas holds political consultations in Beijing.

A leading delegation headed by the head of the International Relations Office of the Islamic Resistance Movement, Dr. Musa Abu Marzouk, met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Deng Li, in the Chinese capital, Beijing, on Sunday afternoon, April 28, 2024.

The movement's delegation included members of the Political Bureau, brothers Hossam Badran, Fathi Hammad, Bassem Naeem, and member of the International Relations Bureau Sherif Abu Shamala.

The movement’s delegation held political consultations with Mr. Li and the Ministry’s staff to discuss ways to stop the genocide to which our people are exposed in the Gaza Strip, and reviewed the efforts made to reach a ceasefire, the tragic humanitarian reality caused by the “israeli” occupation army, and the extent to which China can enhance its urgent humanitarian aid.

The movement's delegation appreciated the Chinese position in support of the Palestinian cause, rejecting the genocide to which our people are subjected, in addition to emphasizing the good Chinese efforts to unite the Palestinian ranks in confronting the occupation, and realizing the hopes and aspirations of our people.

In turn, Mr. Deng Li expressed his country's firm position on the just Palestinian cause, and their continued efforts to stop inhumane practices against the Palestinian people, reach a ceasefire, and support our people in all international forums.

In conclusion, the two sides stressed the continuation of consultations, work to achieve Palestinian national unity, and China's readiness to provide whatever necessary.
