🚨 Encampments and solidarity protests with Gaza have gone global, with over 56 ongoing encampments demanding divestment and an end to genocide across 5 countries. Today witnessed some of the fiercest repression, as well as symbolic victories.

Over 100 students were arrested at Northeastern University in Boston, where protestors employed de-arrest tactics and community protection. Encampments at University of Connecticut and Indiana University faced heavy police presence and dozens of arrests.

In the words of Jonathan Jackson: "It’s come down on us hard now. There are twenty different breeds of pigs patrolling every street in the colony here...Repression is here! There’s a great deal of work to be done—with ourselves—yet. But the day of the real dragon is coming. Long live the guerrilla!!"

Student occupiers continued to hold it down at "Intifada Hall" in Cal Poly Humboldt, a model for militant student action, where the still-occupied hall was opened to the public. United encampment at CUNY is going strong, where a message from political prisoner Mumia Abu-Jamal was delivered, followed by a reflection on the rising student movement published by Within Our Lifetime calling for escalation, rejecting the "outside agitator" smears, and blurring the lines between students and non-students in community.

Meanwhile, solidarity protests were held globally, and others are planned at universities internationally, including in Lebanon, where students are similarly calling for financial transparency and liberation. Students in Jordan called for a widespread pro-resistance protest. Messages of solidarity to rising students were delivered from Gaza, as well as Swaziland and India.
