🚨 A fifth rocket barrage was launched from southern Lebanon moments ago. Over 50 rockets were launched in the last 40 minutes targeting occupied Palestinian, Lebanese, and Syrian lands.

Missile sirens were not activated in any of the barrages.

This comes after the martyrdom of the founder of Fajr Forces, Musab Khalaf, and Bilal Khalaf.

Attached is a communique from the Escalate Network, urging people not to settle for weak concessions and keep building the movement beyond the campus.

As long as corporations hold decision-making power, divestment is an illusion.

If we disrupt the University's logistics, we will be offered a place at a negotiating table. . . at a price: stop protesting, disband the encampment, forfeit the building, and come peacefully into a wilderness of mirrors -- the stock market. Those who take the bait will forfeit all the leverage they have, ensuring that the negotiations will be meaningless.

As recent fossil fuel divestment campaigns show, behind our backs, they will use shell companies and financial instruments to redirect the funds to the very same assets.

Our first concession will be our last. Don't be lured by the negotiating table. We must continue to escalate until we stop the genocide.

The point is not to establish passive encampments on university campuses. Rather, the point is to build conflictual zones of assembly, where dignified and conscientious persons can combine efforts to disrupt and halt the nightmare unfolding in Gaza.

There are a few simple steps we can follow:
1) Refuse, as recent protesters have done explicitly at Emory University in Atlanta, to be divided into students and "non-students." This is not a student issue. It is a popular movement taking place, for the moment, on campuses. If every student in the entire country was on a campus at this moment, that would still likely not be enough to stop the genocide in Gaza.
2) Don't reproduce past successes, keep reaching higher. After we have won our right to public space, we should take over infrastructure that cannot be ignored: offices, classroom buildings, libraries, cafeterias, etc.
3) Prepare to be attacked. Rather than expect peace, we should prepare for the worst. In 2020, tens of millions of people took to the streets following the murder of George Floyd. Since then, thousands have taken part in the resistance to Cop City in Atlanta. We can learn from these movements: hard banners to block rubber bullets, umbrellas as shields against cameras, goggles for mace, gloves to throw back tear gas, etc.

Today, April 26, marks the anniversary of the martyrdom of Raed Nazzal, one of the leaders of the Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades in Qalqilya, in 2002 after a heroic battle with the occupation forces that stormed the location he was in at the time, and he was martyred after confronting them.

Raed... that great word which our heroic martyr did not just carry as a name, but embodied in the reality of struggle and social life, to the extent that if you searched for a name for him, you would find no other word but "Raed" ["Major"/"pioneer"] to call him. In social life, his heart and behavior were full of warmth, tenderness, spirit of cooperation, solidarity, defending the oppressed, and adopting the causes of his surroundings more than caring for himself. In the aspect of struggle, he embodied a wonderful legend of belonging and continuous struggle from his early years. From the age of thirteen until the day of his martyrdom, he never abandoned the motto of continuous struggle, in words and deeds. In captivity, as well as after liberation, he was always wielding the weapon of struggle and internal construction until he implemented his famous slogan "I will not be a slave to the phase and I will not publicly accept this humiliating position, because I will only live once and I will live it with honor."

He is Raed Musa Ibrahim Nazzal – past and present, born on June 1, 1969, married to the fighter lawyer Fatima Muhammad Da'na, and father to a son he named Asir, sanctifying the prisoner movement, to which he belonged with all his being.

Martyr Nazzal was a university student in his first year at Al-Quds Open University and worked in cattle farming and dairy production. He was a member of a sub-committee in the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in the occupied West Bank, a leader of the Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades in the Qalqilya governorate, and an officer in the Palestinian National Security Forces with the rank of Major, and the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades.

Nazzal was arrested at the age of 13 for 25 days, and again at 14 for thirteen months.

He was arrested at the age of 15 for 5 years, on the basis of his membership in the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, for throwing Molotov cocktails, and burning a number of collaborators' cars. Half a year before the end of the five years, he executed one of the collaborators in Jenin prison, and was again sentenced to life imprisonment.

He was freed from captivity in a prisoner exchange deal on September 9, 1999, and continued his journey of struggle from the first day of his liberation from captivity, where he was elected to the leadership of the Qalqilya governorate area and participated as an active member in the sixth national congress of the Popular Front and was elected as a member of a central sub-committee. Alongside his work in the Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, he worked on establishing an artistic troupe for theater and singing, made great efforts in building the women's committee, and assisted in publishing editions for comrades in the prisoner movement.

He was martyred on April 26, 2002, after a heroic battle with the zionist occupation forces where more than 10 locations were stormed by the zionist occupation forces in search of the martyr and his wanted comrades. When the siege tightened around the group, the martyr asked his comrades to withdraw, and he fought the battle himself for two hours to cover for his soldiers, and the killers could not get him except with remote projectiles, turning his giant body into a legendary figure of sacrifice, redemption, and continuous struggle.
