🚨 Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor:

We condemn the "israeli" occupation army’s targeting of thousands of forcibly displaced Palestinians as they attempted to return to their homes in Gaza City and its northern areas. They were directly targeted with artillery shells and live fire, resulting in dozens of martyrs and injuries, including women and children.

On Sunday, the "israeli" army committed actions that could constitute crimes against humanity and war crimes by deliberately attacking civilians, killing and injuring dozens intentionally, and continuing the crime of forced displacement of Palestinians by forcibly preventing displaced civilians from returning.

The severe crimes committed by the "israeli" army, especially the crime of forced displacement, aim to destroy the lives of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, and all are part of the genocide crime committed by "israel" for over six months.

We have documented consistent testimonies about the "israeli" forces launching artillery shells and machine guns from naval boats and live fire, including from quadcopter drones, as well as tear gas bombs deliberately and directly towards thousands of civilians attempting to return.

One of the victims, Naeem Ismail Habib, was martyred while trying to return to his home in Gaza, due to being hit by two bullets in the head and flank areas from a quadcopter drone.

The total number of forcibly displaced persons in the Gaza Strip is estimated at about two million people, many of whom have been displaced several times, with families being forced to move repeatedly in search of safety.

We affirm the necessity to stop the crime of forced displacement committed by "israel" against civilians in the Gaza Strip and to work immediately to enable them to return to their homes and places of residence, according to the rules of international law.

We call on the international community to pressure "israel" to stop all its crimes in the Gaza Strip, and to adhere to the laws of war which prohibit any justification for deliberately targeting civilians and consider their forced displacement a serious violation amounting to war crimes and crimes against humanity.

International parties that explicitly oppose any form of forced displacement have the responsibility to counter "israel's" plans to turn forced displacement into a fait accompli.

The occupation sentenced liberated prisoner and Birzeit student Layan Nasir to 4 months of administrative detention without charge or trial.

Layan was kidnapped from her home at 4AM last Saturday. In July 2021, while she was a student, Layan was imprisoned for over a year, until October 2021, months after her intended release. This came just days after she was assaulted by PA Security Forces while protesting their murder of martyr Nizar Banat.

Layan is the only Christian Palestinian woman in IOF jails.

On Tuesday, fellow Birzeit student and freed prisoner Layan Kayed, who was abducted on the same day, was also sentenced to 4 months of administrative detention. Dozens of students have been pursued and arrested by the IOF for their student activism. #FreeThemAll

*Statement issued by the Commission of Detainees’ Affairs and the Palestinian Society Prisoner’s Club on the 22nd memorial of detention for the leader detainee Marwan Barghouthi*

April 15, 2024

Today marks the the 22nd memorial of detention for the leader and national struggler, member of the Central Committee of Fatah Movement, Marwan Barghouthi, beside the detainee Ahmad Barghouthi.

This memorial coincides the massive aggression against our people and detainees in Israeli prisons, besides the systematic genocide in Gaza, and the historical twist that constitutes an extension of resistance and struggle conducted by our people with their blood and sacrifices over long decades.
His detention was part of targeting him by chasing, deportation and assassination attempts during the Aqsa uprising, in which the Palestinian people presented the finest image of resistance and struggle in confronting the occupation.

The leader Marwan Barghouthi and his colleagues presented a sample of resistance despite the suppression and systematic policies of torture.

Since October 7, our detainees and leaders of the Captive Movement were subjected to torture, isolation and unprecedented attacks, as the IPS intended to target our detainees and take away their rights which they obtained by blood and sacrifice.

He and his colleagues were subjected to operations of isolation and transfer, as he was transferred from Ofer prison to the isolation of Ramla prison, then to the isolation of Ohelekdar prison and then to the isolation of Ramla prison again and finally he is currently held in the isolation of Megiddo prison.

He was subjected to brutal attacks during his transfer by special forces, especially in Megiddo prison, which witnessed the most cruel torture and assaults after October 7.

These procedures and policies escalated since October 7, were not new at all, but constituted an extension of suppressive and retaliatory measures since occupying our lands.

It is worth mentioning that the isolation against the leader Marwan Barghouthi was not the first during his detention, rather, he was isolated several times and turned his experience into a front of confrontation and reinforced his revolutionary ideas.

Barghouthi continued his struggle in order to reinforce the statement of “ the occupation’s prisons were turned into universities and educational institutions”. This expression was a metaphor in the past, but detainees turned into reality to reinforce knowledge, enlightenment and education.

The Commission and Prisoner’s Club paid tribute to the leader Marwan Barghouthi and all his colleagues in prison, who continue their struggle with determination and resilience.

*Glory to martyrs and freedom to detainees*
✈️🚨 Sirens ring in "Hanita," "Arab Al-Aramsheh," "Ya'ara," "Eilon," and other settlements northwestern occupied Palestine following fears of resistance drone infiltration.
🚨🟡🟢 BREAKING - Hezbollah:

1
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
"Permission [to fight] has been granted to those who are being fought, because they were wronged. And indeed, Allah is competent to give them victory."
This is the truth of Allah, the Most High, the Almighty.

In support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their valiant and honorable resistance, and after closely monitoring and anticipating the movements of the enemy forces, fighters of the Islamic Resistance planted explosive devices in the area of Tel Ismail, adjacent to the border with occupied Palestine inside Lebanese territory. When a force belonging to the Golani Brigade crossed the border and reached the location of the devices, they were detonated, resulting in deaths and injuries among their ranks.

"And victory is only from Allah, the Mighty, the Wise."
