We in the Islamic Resistance movement (Hamas) strongly condemn the suppression by the security apparatus of the PA on the peaceful march that took place in the center of Nablus to demand the release of political prisoner Musab Shtayyeh and his comrades and all political detainees in the prisons of the Authority in the occupied West Bank. We consider the PA's treatment of the people with bullets, gas and sound bombs a crime against them. This behavior is reprehensible and contrary to all national norms and values.
We affirm that our people throughout the West Bank, as they bravely confront the escalation of the crimes of the fascist occupation government and its racist policy against our land, our people, and our sanctities, needs support and reinforcement to their state of steadfastness. Instead of pursuing them and arresting their activists, we call on the Palestinian Authority to immediately release all political prisoners in its prisons and protect our people's freedom of expression, and stop the policy of political arrest that only serves the agenda of the occupation.
