In a message to the leaders, symbols and scholars of the nation on the occasion of the approaching holy month of Ramadan, Haniyeh calls for stopping the aggression against Gaza, quickly providing relief to our people, and isolating the occupation.

The fighter brother Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of the Hamas movement, sent a message to the leaders, symbols and scholars of the nation on the cusp of the blessed month of Ramadan, in which he called for effective action at various political, diplomatic, and legal levels in order to immediately stop the aggression against our people, especially in Gaza, and protect the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. He stressed the necessity of exerting pressure on international capitals supporting the occupation with the aim of forcing it to stop this hideous war immediately and unconditionally.

Haniyeh said in his message that our people welcome Ramadan this year burdened with pain and hopes, and that our people are being exposed to the most horrific massacres in the genocidal war on Gaza, which were documented directly by human rights and international bodies, especially the International Court of Justice, and the media.

He also stressed in his message the speedy relief to our people in a real way in terms of food, medicine and shelter, and the opening of the crossings to fully operate, in a way that provides the full and urgent needs and completely ends the siege on our people and begins a comprehensive reconstruction process.

He called for more efforts to prosecute the occupation, expose its crimes, and isolate it politically and diplomatically as a result of the war crimes and crimes against humanity it committed in the genocidal massacres in Gaza.

The leader of the movement stressed that the occupation is the root of all problems and instability in the region, and its continuation contradicts the principles of international law and the United Nations. The Palestinian people’s attainment of their independence and freedom is what ends the root of the problem and establishes a new and different phase at the level of the region and the world.

At the conclusion of his message, he said, “We reassure you and all free people that our people are increasingly attached to their land and more certain of the option of resistance as a legitimate way to end the occupation, and they continue to confront all plans that aim to liquidate the Palestinian cause, no matter the costs and sacrifices, and that all these barbaric crimes will not deter them and their resistance from continuing its path, until freedom and independence are achieved, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with full sovereignty, with Al-Quds as its capital, and the right of return and self-determination.”
