A Vindictive Policy Practiced Against the Prisoner Leader Zakaria Zubeidi.
The Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Commission reported this Thursday morning that its lawyer, Karim Ajwa, managed to visit the prisoner leader Zakaria Zubeidi yesterday, who is held in solitary confinement cells at Asqalan prison.
The Commission's lawyer quoted the prisoner leader Zubeidi saying, "I have been in Asqalan isolation for three weeks, and before that, I was in solitary confinement in 'Ramon' and 'Remonim.' The living conditions and circumstances are difficult and complicated in the three detention cells."
He added, "There is nothing in the isolation room, restrictions are still imposed on me, and I am not allowed to go out for recreation. The food provided to me is very little and of poor quality, and I only have the clothes I am wearing. My cell is searched daily even though it is empty of everything. During these searches, my hands are tied behind my back, as is the case when I go out to visit the lawyer. I have been in this situation for several months."
The Commission holds the occupation government and its prison administration fully responsible for the life of the prisoner leader Zakaria Zubeidi, who has been subjected to a fascist policy since his heroic escape from Gilboa prison.
