The decision by the UNRWA administration to dismiss a number of employees based on allegations made by the zionist enemy, claiming their participation in the events of October 7th, without any investigation or verification of these claims, is a reprehensible step that lacks the basic minimum elements of professionalism and distorts the Agency's compass from its primary mission, which is to protect and aid Palestinian refugees, not to adopt the narrative of the fascist occupation.
We condemn the statement made by the UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini, in which he described our people's resistance as terrorism or vile acts, while he fails to see the catastrophic nature of the genocidal crimes committed by the zionist entity.
It would have been more appropriate for the UNRWA administration to condemn the occupation's attacks on its headquarters and facilities. About 63 UNRWA facilities and schools were directly targeted among nearly 220 attacks on buildings belonging to the UN agency, and the occupation killed approximately 150 of its employees.
