In support of the oppressed Palestinian people and in response to the American-British aggression on our country:
Today, there was clashing with a number of American destroyers and warships in the Gulf of Aden and the Bab Al-Mandab Strait as those ships were providing protection to two American commercial ships.
The results of the engagement were as follows:
- Direct hit on an American warship.
- Forcing the two American commercial ships to retreat and return.
- Several of our ballistic missiles reached their targets despite the warships' attempts to intercept them.
The Yemeni Armed Forces used a number of ballistic missiles in the engagement, which lasted for more than two hours.
The Yemeni Armed Forces affirm the continuation of their efforts in preventing “israeli” navigation or navigation heading to the ports of occupied Palestine in the Red and the Arabian Seas until the cessation of aggression and lifting of the siege on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
The Yemeni Armed Forces also affirm their commitment to taking all necessary military measures within the right of legitimate defense of our country, our people, and our nation. This includes targeting all American and British enemy targets in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea.
