Mohammed Brahma is a resistance fighter from #Jenin who was abducted by the Palestinian Authority as he and Jaba' Brigade leader Murad Malaysha mobilized to support their resisting brothers in #Jenin during the Fury of Jenin battle six months ago. Both Mohammed and Murad are wanted by the occupation.
A number of court orders have demanded their immediate release for months, and resistance factions have called for their release, as well as the release of dozens of political prisoners held in PA prisons. Both political prisoners have started and ended at least two hunger strikes after being falsely promised release. Most recently, they were assaulted by PA forces in November and transferred to the infamous Areeha prison, known for torture.
Today, Mohammed Brahma's mother wrote a letter to the resistance, informing of a new hunger strike Mohammed has undertaken:
"I am the mother of the prisoner Mohammed Brahma. I demand that the leaders of the resistance in Gaza include their names in the prisoner exchange deal.
"My son has been detained without reason, and there is a decision for his release. I demand the [Palestinian] Authority to release them and hold the Authority responsible for my son's wellbeing. He has been on a hunger strike for 10 days.
"My son is an only child and the sole provider for us and his family. I approached several officials in the Authority, and no one received me or gave me a definitive answer about my son's fate.
"Once again, I hold the Authority responsible for the life of my son and his fellow detainees at the hands of the Security Forces. Consider them settlers, O brother, and release them. Allah is sufficient for me, and He is the best guardian against every oppressor and those responsible for this."

The funeral of young Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades fighter Suleiman Kanaan took place in Al-Bireh today. He and Khaled Hamidat ascended to martyrdom after being shot by the IOF yesterday.
His mother stated, "With the events in Gaza, he told me he couldn't handle seeing the photos of Gaza's martyrs. He would tell me, mom, I want to be martyred. When I'm martyred, I want you to carry by body." "I wanted him to excel in the tawjihi [secondary exam], but he earned a certificate [martyrdom] better than the tawjihi. Praise be to Allah, for the sake of Palestine, for the homeland. The homeland deserves our children, and they are not better than the children of Gaza."
As he asked for in his will, his mother carried his body, covered with roses. The funeral was a display of resistance, honor, and unity, with flags of all Palestinian resistance factions present, as well as Hezbollah flags and a banner of Ansarallah commander Abdulmalik Al-Houthi.
Mourners chanted, "O Jamil Al-Amouri, we brought you a rose."
