The Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement condemns the cowardly assassination operation carried out by the American occupation in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, targeting the assistant commander of the Baghdad Belt operations of the Popular Mobilization Forces, Al-Haj Mushtaq Talib Al-Saidi, resulting in several martyrs and wounded. We affirm the right of the Iraqi people and all the peoples of the region to resist the occupation in all its forms and names.

The cowardly assassination operations carried out by both the American and zionist occupations against the leaders of the resistance in the region will increase the cohesion of the resistance forces and the mass rallying around them. It has become clear that the freedom and prosperity of the peoples of our nation pass through confronting these occupations and expelling them.

As we extend our warmest condolences to the brothers in the Al-Nujaba Movement, the Iraqi resistance, and the entire brotherly Iraqi people, praying to Allah for mercy for the martyrs and a speedy recovery for the wounded, we praise the heroism of the Iraqi people and their resistance, which supports and assists our people in the Gaza Strip in the face of the barbaric zionist aggression.

Here you are, fulfilling what you always wished, departing with your zealous fighter companion Abu Sajjad, leaving us your loved ones as a martyr full of hope. O dear one, you have left a void that can only be filled by meeting you in the presence of a mighty King.

If this was your decision, then witness that we are patient and hopeful, saying only: "O Allah, if this pleases You, take until You are pleased. O Allah, accept this sacrifice from us." Congratulations to you for the highest ranks, and congratulations to you for being welcomed today by the martyrs Soleimani and Al-Muhandis, stained with their blood on the anniversary of their martyrdom, mingling your blood with theirs and your remains with theirs after four years of your grief over their loss.

I promise you, I will hold back my tears to keep the fire of loss and pain burning in my heart, to pour it as vengeance and hellfire upon the treacherous colonizers.

Once again, the aggression on the official security headquarters is renewed by the American aggressor forces targeting a headquarters affiliated with the Popular Mobilization Forces with a drone today, Thursday.

This criminal act is a clear violation and challenge to Iraqi sovereignty and the security authorities linked to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and a demolition of all international laws and norms.

The deliberate and dangerous escalation expresses an overt determination to violate sovereignty and the effective Iraqi law, showing a disdain for Iraqi blood and the dignity of Iraqis.

Here, we affirm the readiness of the Popular Mobilization Forces to heed any order from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces that preserves the sovereignty of Iraq, the unity of its territories, and the safety of its people.
