A photo unites the martyred leaders Sheikh Saleh Al-Arouri of Hamas, assassinated today in Lebanon, and martyr Tariq Izz El-Din of PIJ, assassinated in Gaza in August 2023, while Tariq was receiving treatment for leukemia in Egypt. Tariq defeated the cancer before his martyrdom in the cowardly zionist assassination.
Both are former prisoners, with Tariq spending 12 years in the occupation prisons for his resistance activity in Jenin, released in the Faithful to the Free 2011 deal that Sheikh Saleh Al-Arouri himself oversaw the negotiations for. Tariq was held in the same prison cell as the heroes of the Freedom Tunnel prison break operation of September 2021. Sheikh Saleh, meanwhile, spent 18 years in total in occupation prisons.

The mother of martyred national leader Sheikh Saleh Al-Arouri, assassinated today in Beirut:
"May Allah have mercy on his soul. He sacrificed himself for the homeland. He wanted martyrdom, and Allah granted it to him. We congratulate him and the whole world on his martyrdom.
I have not seen [Saleh] in 20 years or more. They exiled him. They imprisoned him for 15 years, freed him, and then arrested him again. They continued to pursue him. 18 years he spent in prison.
They exiled him to Syria, from Syria to Turkey, from Turkey to Qatar, from Qatar... May Allah be pleased with him. He did not spare for the sake of the homeland."

The Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, commander Ziyad Al-Nakhaleh, mourns the Deputy Head of the Political Bureau of Hamas, Sheikh Saleh al-Arouri. In his statement, he said:
"Sheikh Saleh al-Arouri was one of the distinguished and devoted leaders of the Palestinian people. We have lost him when we needed his presence the most. He was a leader who instilled confidence and tranquility in those around him and those he dealt with. We have lost him as a leader and a person who believed in the justice of the Palestinian people's fight until martyrdom, and he achieved it in the glory of Palestine and the resistance, in its glory that is manifested today in the jihad and heroism of the Palestinian people in Gaza, the West Bank, across Palestine, and beyond. We pray to Allah to accept him graciously."
Commander Al-Nakhaleh concluded: "May Allah magnify the reward of the Palestinian people and all the free people of the world for their loss."
