Commander Reza Mousavi of the Iranian Islamic Revolution Guard Corps was martyred following an IOF attack in the suburbs of Damascus, Syria, in the Sayyeda Zeinab area earlier today. A close companion of martyr Haj Qassem Soleimani, Mousavi was serving as a military advisor to forces in the area before he was directly targeted with three missiles.
In his role, Mousavi participated in all stages of support during the war in Syria, including major battles. Mousavi was one of the senior commanders of the IRGC and a prominent leader of the Quds Force, serving as an advisor in Syria. He had faced several assassination attempts by the IOF in recent years.
