The great national leader Abu Akram passed away as a martyr after a journey full of sacrifices, advocacy, jihad, and notable parliamentary work in the service of our Palestinian people, their legitimate struggle, and their just cause. He was, with his honorable positions and appreciated achievements in all areas and fields, a unifying national symbol, a guiding and pioneering trustee in adhering to national rights and thawabet, foremost of which are Al-Quds, Al-Aqsa, the prisoner, and return. He is one of the pillars of parliamentary work, Palestinian, Arab, Islamic, and international. His journey, jihad, and sacrifices will remain a beacon on our people’s path toward liberating the land and the holy sites.

We in Hamas, as we exalt the sheikh commander Ahmed Bahr, Abu Akram, our people and our valiant resistance continue their heroic Al-Aqsa Flood battle with all faith, steadfastness, wisdom, and capability, affirm to our people, our nation, and all free people in the world that the enemy’s crimes, massacres, and genocidal war that he is committing will not succeed in breaking the will, steadfastness, and resistance of our people. The blood of the martyred leaders, and all the convoys of martyrs from our people throughout the history of our extended and continuous jihad will be fuel to ignite the spirit of resistance among the masses of our people and our nation in all arenas of the homeland and abroad until the occupation is defeated and eliminated.

In light of the occupation's war and its aggression against all the capabilities and symbols of our people, we remind the Arab, Islamic, and international parliaments that the crime of bombing and destroying the Legislative Council building in the Gaza Strip, which was committed by the zionist occupation army a few days ago, and its systematic crimes against its members, including the martyring of some among them, notably the Council's Acting Chairman, requires urgent and effective action to condemn, criminalize, and put pressure to stop the occupation’s aggression and to work to prosecute its perpetrators in international courts, raising the voice high against the crimes of the occupation and the American support for them, and standing with our people, supporting their legitimate aspirations for liberation and return.

May Allah Almighty have mercy on the martyr leader Ahmed Bahr, Abu Akram, grant him wide mercy, elevate his rank among the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, the righteous, and what excellent companions they are. 🚨 Statement issued by prisoners institutions regarding Walid Daqqah, a model for hundreds of sick and wounded prisoners in zionist jails:

The administration of the occupation's prisons recently transferred prisoner Walid Daqqah (62 years old) from Baqa al-Gharbiya, who suffers from a rare bone marrow cancer, from the "Ramla Prison Clinic" to the "Gilboa" prison in occupied Bisan. This prison is among those from which data, through testimonies of recently released prisoners, report the execution of torture and collective abuse operations against prisoners held in occupation prisons.

In light of this step, the prisoner institutions emphasize that the risks and fears for his fate are now greater than ever. This is in the context of the prison administration obstructing lawyer visits, restricting the work of legal teams from various specialized institutions, and preventing these institutions from monitoring the health situation of prisoner Daqqah and hundreds of other sick and injured prisoners, as well as the level of necessary treatment they receive, especially after a long journey spanning years during which Daqqa faced the crime of medical negligence that brought him to a dangerously deteriorating health stage, primarily during the current year.

Prisoner Daqqa, detained for 38 years and suffering from extremely weak health, requiring special food, faces hunger today along with a series of retaliatory measures like thousands of other prisoners in the occupation jails, including the sick. The prison administration has reduced food rations, which have essentially become poor daily morsels in quantity and quality, directly affecting the life of prisoner Daqqah and all sick prisoners, should they not receive necessary and adequate food in line with their health conditions.

In this context, the prisoner institutions confirm that prisoner Daqqah and hundreds of sick and injured prisoners, have faced for decades the crime of slow killing primarily manifested in the delay in providing the minimum necessary treatment. Today, these sick prisoners face increased restrictions on receiving necessary treatment, along with some of them recently subjected to abuse and torture, as part of collective retaliatory crimes against them for over forty days in an unprecedented manner.

Given all the data about the conditions of prisoners in the occupation jails, and the martyrdom of five prisoners within a month, the likelihood of other prisoners being martyred in jails increases with the continuation of torture and abuse, the intensified isolation of prisoners using all available means, especially given the unknown fate or even the locations of their transfer amidst frequent transfers across different prisons.

The prisoner institutions once again demand the International Committee of the Red Cross to review its role after all the demands directed to it for over a month, to take immediate action to visit sick prisoner Walid Daqqah and all sick prisoners in the occupation jails, to ensure they receive necessary treatment before the crimes committed against them lead to catastrophic consequences. The institutions also direct their demands to all the free people of the world who supported prisoner Daqqah during the past period, and all prisoners in the jails, and those who came out in all fields against the genocide carried out by the "israeli" occupation against our people in Gaza, to continue raising our voice until their liberation and Palestinian self-determination.

Milad, the daughter of cancer-stricken prisoner Walid Daqqah, chants to #FreeThemAll. Walid today entered a dangerous stage in his health condition and remains on ventilators. A resistance fighter and intellectual, Walid has spent 37 years in the zionist prisons and was diagnosed with bone marrow cancer four months ago. His daughter Milad was born in 2020 through IVF after her father smuggled his sperm out of the prison after decades of attempts.
