🧵 Read our statement: Why Target Elbit?

Every hour, we receive thoughtful, well-aimed suggestions or inquiries about alternate targets for direct action: political offices, Embassies, NGOs, other weapons companies, intersections, etc., all of which have clear ties to the Zionist occupation of Palestine, and the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

It is right and just to rebel and act boldly in all places and moments, with all tactics, without a doubt. The more chaos ensues in the halls and courtyards of the normalizers and genocidaires, the better.

But focus in targeting, from a strategic perspective, is the most effective route, which is why our campaign is singularly focused on Elbit Systems, Israel’s *largest* weapons producer.

Palestine Action US has been given the privilege of carrying the banner of one of the Western world’s most successful grassroots direct action campaigns. Palestine Action UK, founded over three years ago by a Palestinian-Iraqi woman, has successfully shut down two of Elbit’s UK locations, permanently, and got HSBC to divest from Elbit. Their pressure has escalated over the years into a constant, relentless campaign, to the point where we see disruptions at Elbit in the UK nearly every day. Since October 7th, that pressure has only grown, and also exploded into the US, Canada, Australia, and everywhere Elbit is headquartered. In that time, while other weapons firms’ profits have skyrocketed, Elbit shares have taken a nosedive.

If one wishes to help build a city, one must first build a house, so others might see how it was built. Like other historic campaigns which have isolated the enablers of injustice, we start with Elbit, we shut down their operations, and we strike fear in the hearts of their staff and their investors. Once Elbit Systems of America has been vanquished, we will have a replicable model for targeted direct action, which might be used to target every single conspirator in the occupation of Palestine and the subjugation of the colonized world.

Further, we absolutely uphold the necessity of mass demonstrations, marches, and softer forms of direct action. These are all elements of the elaborate tapestry of resistance, but marching alone isn’t enough. Thousands have been arrested in the US for civil disobedience since Oct 7; most of these arrests have been purely symbolic. Imagine if these bodies were blockading arms shipments, dismantling weapons companies, and actually threatening capital.

Power has shown it doesn’t move, even when millions have taken the streets, unless their profits are directly affected, or ruling class fear abounds. Beware of those who wish to co-opt the language of Direct Action for the benefit of their own opportunism and brand-building. Beware of “Shut it Down,” actions which are little more than theatrical performances, meant to contain the revolutionary instinct.

For 41 days, our Palestinian people, the resilient and steadfast Gaza Strip, and our heroic resistance continue to fight the battle of honor, dignity, and pride against one of the world's most terroristic armies, bolstered with unlimited American military support. Yet, our people's resolve has not weakened, nor our our Strip's determination diminished.

Here are the heroes of the resistance, controlling the land of Gaza with pages of unmatched glory in heroism, courage, and boldness. They are striking painful blows to the enemy's army and its machinery, which thought to prevent our brave fighters' strikes, but their calculations have failed, and their bets have shattered.

These righteous fighters, of whom the Quran says: "We have sent against you servants of Ours of great might", are the soldiers of Allah, realizing His will and cutting off the back of His enemies. God has given them clear authority and severe might.

Our people in the Gaza Strip, are striving with their patience, faith, steadfastness, and pride, having shaken the entire world, leading to an unprecedented global awakening despite the enormous price paid with children, women, elders, resources, and properties. This marks a victory, no less significant, indeed an extension of the glorious flood of October 7th.

Our people in the West Bank continue to challenge and confront this occupation, standing against its settlers, military occupation, and ongoing crimes of murder, arrest, confiscation, and terrorism.

The enemy is waging a war against hospitals in Gaza, violating all norms, charters, and humanitarian values. The latest of these is the brutal attack on Al-Shifa Medical Complex, based on lies they fabricated and sought to market, which have been proven false, whether in Al-Shifa Hospital or Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Rantisi Children's Hospital.

The Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip is today fighting an honorable battle to defend Palestine and the nation's sanctities, without bending or breaking its resolve and it will continue, along with our people, to stand firm and steadfast.

We are engaged in a strategic struggle with the zionist enemy, in which we will only emerge victorious with God's help, strength, and success. We do not doubt this in the slightest. If the enemy desires a prolonged battle, our endurance is longer than that of our enemy.

Our resistance will have the upper hand and the final say, by God's will. The world will witness Al-Qassam Brigades and the resistance factions in the Strip, and throughout our Palestinian land, repelling the occupation from the Gaza Strip, as they did 18 years ago. The occupiers will eventually leave all of our blessed Palestinian land, reaping nothing but more failure, disappointment, and defeat.

After 41 days of the brutal aggression of the occupation and its savage killings, our people and their valiant resistance have thwarted the enemy's objectives and plans for displacement or recapturing prisoners by force. These plans have failed, and with them will fall all the enemy's illusions. They have not been able to achieve any of their goals or retrieve their prisoners except by paying the price determined by the resistance.

We have followed the proceedings of the emergency Arab and Islamic summit that was held a few days ago in Riyadh, and I call for the implementation of the resolutions it issued, especially those related to stopping the aggression, breaking the siege immediately on the Gaza Strip, protecting the sanctities, and realizing the aspirations of our people for freedom, return, and independence.

I call for the rapid convening of the committee consisting of a number of countries emerging from the emergency Arab-Islamic summit, tasked with following up on the implementation of the decisions issued by it.

I say to the leaders of the [Arab and Islamic] nation that the Palestinian resistance forces a strength for you and an asset, and that their ability to thwart the enemy’s greed and confront its threats is a strength of the entire nation and not the Palestinian people alone. The presence of the Palestinian resistance in the face of the occupation and its threats has become a necessity and a definite Arab and Islamic interest.

Yesterday, the UN Security Council took a decision regarding the aggression on Gaza, which was immediately rejected by the zionist enemy, confirming its clear policy of considering itself a state above the law and continuing to obstruct international will, as established in the General Assembly's vote two weeks ago.

The resolution issued by the Security Council yesterday should have included an exclusive and direct condemnation of the around the clock war crimes and ethnic cleansing committed by the zionist enemy in Gaza and in the West Bank, as well as its violation of international law, international humanitarian law, and international charters, especially those related to the state of war.

I emphasize the importance of forcing the enemy to stop the aggression, open the crossings, and quickly deliver aid to meet the needs of the Gaza Strip and to end the siege on it definitively, and to acknowledge the legitimate national rights of our Palestinian people in establishing their independent state with Al-Quds as its capital, all of this unconditionally, as it is an inherent right of our people guaranteed by relevant international laws and resolutions.

We say to the criminal enemy who has fueled the conflict in the region and to all those who support and promote illusions and hope to change the political, military, and geographical reality of our steadfast Strip, I say to them: Hamas is a movement rooted in its land and fused with its people, and the enemy and all those allied with and participating in its aggression will not be able to change the reality in the Gaza Strip.

Let the enemy delude themselves as they wish, and set their goals as high as they want, but by God's will and then by the will of our people and the valor of our resistance and the support of our nation and all the free people of the world, all of it will shatter against the rock of reality and truth.

I affirm and declare for the whole world to hear that the only rightful owner in determining the future of the Gaza Strip and all of Palestine is the Palestinian people, with their free and independent will.

I send greetings to our Palestinian people who are steadfast, holding on to the embers of patience, resilience, and steadfastness. Salutations of pride and honor to our people in heroic Gaza and our valiant resistance, which has now become the vanguard of the nation and the victorious group, God willing.

I send greetings to the peoples of our Arab and Islamic nation, whose interaction and movement in support of the Palestinian people and the resistance, and anger over the crimes committed by the enemy in Gaza, have not subsided.

I address the entire nation, saying that Gaza has presented a model in the history of the Islamic nation not seen for more than 100 years. From the womb of suffering and the jaws of siege, Gaza has opened wide the door for strategic shifts at the level of the cause and the region, creating and writing history and striking a major blow to the foundations of the zionist project.

Therefore, supporting Gaza with money, weapons, and jihad must transcend all obstacles, no matter what they are. There is no excuse for being passive or content with little effort and work in the battle of Al-Aqsa Flood, which is the battle of the entire nation. All efforts must be united, rushing without hesitation towards bold choices.

Greetings to the free people of the world who fill the streets and squares, exerting pressure on their leaders and governments to stop supporting the aggression and to put an end to the war crimes committed against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

I send greetings to the hot fronts of resistance contributing to this battle on the path to strategic balance. What is required is to pressure the enemy, and we will remain steadfast, committed to our right, clinging to our land and our resistance. The victory of Allah is near.
