Ghassan Bin Jiddo, the Chairman of Al-Mayadeen Network:
β
In the dead of night and its darkness, the "israeli" political, security, and military cabinet made a decision to ban Al-Mayadeen Media Network in Palestine.
The decision was signed by the Minister of Communications of the occupation, trembling as he published a picture of victory over Al-Mayadeen with delusional pride and gloomy arrogance.
This sadist, this killer of children, does not understand the essence of freedom nor the identity of the free, and time will tell between us.
We at Al-Mayadeen have never hidden our choice to embrace the cause of Palestine, to defend the dignity of the Palestinian people, and to love the sanctities of Palestine.
We at Al-Mayadeen have never been hypocritical in our support for humanity everywhere, supporting the resistance of the worldβs peoples against any occupation, foremost among them the Palestinian people.
We at Al-Mayadeen have worked solely with professional conscience and journalistic expertise as a media network that conveys reality as it is, with national belonging and an international perspective.
We at Al-Mayadeen are stubborn in our struggle for committed media work, not for diluted journalistic falsehoods.
We have worked in occupied Palestine, in our land, with brave media integrity. We did not beg for a work permit, nor did we bow down in cowardly submissiveness.
Our ban by the occupation authorities is part of their ongoing policy of arrests and silencing voices.
Al-Mayadeen will never back down from its choices in supporting the entire Palestinian people and the entire resistance of the Palestinian people on all of the land of Palestine.
We will never retreat from revealing the truth about the war of extermination waged by the occupation against Gaza and the mighty people.
The occupation and its mouthpieces, both inside and outside Palestine, among the subservient and dependent, do not understand that Al-Mayadeen is not a building, walls, or offices.
Al-Mayadeen, in essence, is an idea, a vision, a culture, a choice, and a comprehensive Arab, international, and humanitarian media project.
We, Al-Mayadeen, are part of this radiant international media entity that carries a singular message: to confront injustice, domination, and occupation.
