The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine has warned that the current living conditions in the strip, resulting from the continued war of genocide, brutal bombing, and siege, have reached the brink of total collapse, which heralds a real disaster, especially in the north of the Gaza Strip and Gaza City.
The Front confirmed that the continuation of the criminal occupation's siege of the sector by land, air, and sea, closing the crossings, and preventing the entry of medicine, medical supplies, and fuel, and systematically and criminally cutting off water and bombing desalination stations, targeting fuel and solar energy stations, bakeries, hospitals, and shelters, brings the strip closer to the risk of famine, the spread of epidemics and diseases, and to an environmental disaster due to thousands of tons of explosives and white phosphorus dropped on the strip amid international complicity and Arab silence.
The Front added that our people in the strip, especially thousands of displaced people in shelters and homes, have become unable to obtain potable water; due to the scarcity of water and the cessation of desalination plants due to the power outage. Moreover, the continued prevention of fuel threatens the lives of thousands of patients, especially those suffering from chronic diseases such as kidney and cancer, and threatens the lives of thousands of unborn children.
The Front held the international community, the so-called free world, and Arab silence responsible for the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the sector due to their complicity or inability to stop the aggression, or at least to open the crossings and allow the entry of medicine, relief materials, and fuel into the sector, stressing that the sector is going through an unprecedented humanitarian disaster that needs urgent intervention, and the enforcement of opening the crossings around the clock, and ensuring the flow of all aid without restrictions from the occupation to avoid a real catastrophe.
