Al-Maamadani (The Baptist) Ahli Arab Hospital has operated in Gaza since 1904, founded by the Missionary Society of the Church, of the Church of England. Since the 1980s, the hospital has been managed by the Anglican Episcopal Church in Al-Quds.
The hospital's director was in communication with the Red Cross following threats by the occupation to bomb multiple hospitals, who assured them that the hospital will be safe. Despite this, the IOF bombed the hospital twice two days before the massacre, and had bombed 21 other hospitals in Gaza in the days prior. At a time in which there are more wounded than hospital beds, when surgeons are performing operations in hallways without anesthesia, when hospitals have no power, it is unconscionable to demand those saving lives to stop doing so.
The scenes speak for themselves. The courtyard in which hundreds of refugees took shelter is burned. Scattered body parts are still collected. Toys, bags, and blankets are still on the floor.
Mounting evidence reveals that the bomb used left no crater, characteristic of the "pre-impact airburst" of the JDAM-fitted US bombs that are in the possession of the IOF. In other words, the strike was directed, meant to murder as many as possible, and very deliberate.
Gaza's Government Media Office stated, "The intentional hospital massacre committed by the occupation is considered the massacre of the 21st century, and it is an extension of its crimes since the Nakba of our people in 1948."
This is not the first IOF massacre, nor the last. Over 60 martyrs have ascended since. While the pain is great, we are not surprised by the criminality this occupation operates with, the same since the first settler set foot on our lands.

Since the start of Al-Aqsa Flood battle, occupation forces have carried out large-scale raid and arrest campaigns across the West Bank. Over 750 Palestinians have been arrested so far.
The arrests have targeted anyone who is known to encourage resistance as fears begin to spread of a wider uprising against the comprador Palestinian Authority and the occupation.
