French writer Jean Genet, one of the first to enter Shatila after the massacre said, "I have spent four hours in Shatila, and what remains in my memory are around forty bodies, all of which—and I emphasize all—have likely been tortured, amidst the ecstasy of the torturers, their songs, their laughter, and amidst the smell of gunpowder. The smell of the corpses was not coming out of a house or from a mangled body; rather, it seemed to me that my body and my being were the ones emitting that smell."

They literally tore him in half by the legs. And we screamed, 'why?!' They said he would only grow up to be a terrorist! My grandson, what did he do to get killed? First of all, they killed his mother—they hadn't seem him, he was asleep in his cot. He started to cry; of course he did, he wanted his mother. They took him, and they killed him."

Pictures 4 and 5 show Milana Boutros, a Lebanese witness to the massacre, punished for marrying a Palestinian man: she was kept alive to "teach her a lesson" as the Phalangists murdered her entire family.
The second video shows the touching moment that the Palestinian poet Rehab Kanaan, who lost 54 of her family members as martyrs of the Sabra and Shatila massacres, met her daughter on television for the first time in years after believing her to be martyred. The video needs no subtitles, as the raw emotions transcend all languages.

We call on the [Palestinian] Authority to side with the choices of our people, stop pursuing the resistance, and immediately release political prisoners.
A full year has passed since the kidnapping of fighter Musab Shtayyeh, who is wanted by the occupation forces, by the forces of the Authority. The escalating and fierce campaign by the influential current in the Authority against the resistance and resistance fighters from various Palestinian political streams, in high-level security coordination with the zionist occupation, will not succeed in breaking the will of our people who are committed to resistance as the path to liberation, return, and the defense of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
As the Authority intensifies its campaign against anyone who resists the occupation, with pursuits, kidnappings, arrests, torture, and attempts to break the will of the resistance fighters, and with a security campaign focused on refugee camps, the strongholds of resistance that repelled the occupation and won for Al-Aqsa Mosque, we emphasize the following:
- We call on the presidency and the Security Forces to stop pursuing the resistance and resistance fighters, and to align with the choice of our Palestinian people in confronting the occupation, which is racing day and night to displace our people, steal what remains of their land, and desecrate Al-Aqsa en route to taking control of it.
- We emphasize the need to immediately release all political prisoners, and to stop invoking flimsy and frivolous pretexts for their continued detention.
- We call on national and moral figures across the homeland to strongly prevent the influential faction in the Authority from implementing the occupation's plans to break the resistance and ignite internal strife.
- We urge our Palestinian people to continue embracing the resistance and the resistance fighters, and protect them from the claws of security coordination, and to put pressure on those involved in the pursuit of resistors through tribal and popular means.
And as we warn the ruling faction in the Authority from continuing in its national crime, we affirm that our people's defense of themselves and their rights against the occupation and its settlers, and to protect the path of their prophet [Al-Aqsa], is a legitimate right that will continue as long as the occupation remains on our land and sanctities.

The zionist entity sentenced prisoner Yasmine Shaaban from #Jenin to six years in prison and an 8,000 shekel fine. A mother of four, she has been awaiting trial for 18 months, previously spending five years in occupation prisons until her release in 2019.
Yasmine lost her father last March, and the zionist entity prevented her from bidding farewell.
She is one of 37 women currently held in zionist jails, including four administrative detainees held without charge or trial.
