The DFLP condemns the actions of the [Palestinian] Authority in arresting its cadres in Ya'bad and Asira Al-Qibliya, and all activists, and demands their immediate release.
The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine condemns the continued arrest by the Security Forces of the Authority of its cadres in the town of Ya'bad for about a month and a half and subjecting them to torture and the recent arrest of one of its cadres in Asira al-Qibliya. The Front calls on the Authority and its leadership to stop the persecution and arrest of its cadres and all those resisting against the occupation and engaged in popular resistance activities against the occupation, regardless of their political affiliations.
The testimonies of several activists and political detainees recently released from the Authority's interrogation centers confirm the catastrophic situation in these centers and the harsh methods of torture inherited from the occupation, which contradicts all ethical and national principles. This calls for human rights organizations to intervene and listen to their testimonies.
Political arrests of cadres and activists of popular resistance by the Security Forces, which coincide with the daily arrest campaigns and incursions carried out by the occupation army in our cities, villages, and camps, are a free service to the occupation and indicate that the effects of the Aqaba–Sharm El-Sheikh security track govern the performance of the Authority and its Security Forces.
