Palestinian prisoners continue their hunger strikes amidst serious health issues.
Kayed Fasfous is on his 37th day of hunger strike in protest of his administrative detention. His health is continuously deteriorating while he is held in solitary confinement cells in Naqab prison.
Kayed is suffering from extreme fatigue and exhaustion, making his movement extremely difficult. He is unable to walk or stand, and he experiences pain throughout his body. Additionally, he suffers from frequent dizziness, balance problems, and memory issues.
Kayed is being restricted and humiliated by the prison guards. Due to his immobility, they forcibly pull him up and make him move. Moreover, the prison administration withdrew the mattress he sleeps on five days ago.
Kayed went on a nine-day hunger strike in June, and a heroic 131-day-long hunger strike to snatch his freedom in late 2021, as well as in 2019. All of his siblings are prisoners, and he himself has spent a total of seven years in zionist prisons since 2007.
Sultan Khallouf (42 years old) of Jenin is on his 37th day of hunger strike against his administrative detention. He faces a continuous deterioration in his health condition, held in a cell in the Ramla Prison “Clinic.”
Sultan's health condition is critical. He is suffering from vomiting, including blood, impaired vision, severe headaches, dizziness, difficulty standing, and he moves around using a wheelchair, according to the Prisoners' Club.
The zionist prison service mocks him by eating meals in front of him and tells him that he is alone and that people will not stand with him.
It should be noted that he had previously engaged in a hunger strike in 2019 that lasted for 67 days in protest against his administrative detention.
PIJ leader Maher Al-Akhras is on his 17th day of hunger strike, which began at the moment of his arrest. He has spent a total of five years in zionist prisons and went on a victorious 103-day-long hunger strike in 2020. He is a father of six.

It is worth mentioning that the occupation continues to carry out wide-scale arrest campaigns in the West Bank, one of the most significant escalations recently. The IOF uses arrests to attempt to undermine any escalating confrontation against it. The number of arrests since the beginning of this year has exceeded 5,000, with administrative detention forming the basis for these arrests. The number of administrative detention orders reached 2,350, including new orders and renewals for previously detained individuals, according to the Prisoner’s Club.
The number of prisoners in occupation prisons is approximately 5,200, including 35 female prisoners and around 170 children. As of the end of August, the number of administrative detainees reached 1,264.
Palestinian prisoners have been preparing for a mass hunger strike on Thursday 14/09/23 in protest of the cowardly measures taken by the occupation prison authorities against them, such as reducing family visits.

"We should have never allowed these hunger strikes to exceed two weeks."
The martyr Nizar Banat, Palestinian Authority critic murdered at the hands of the PA, speaks about the mistake of public normalization of long term hunger strikes. He speaks about the devastating cost of hunger strikes, even if successful. And he speaks about PA suppression of protests against the occupation and in support of prisoners.
Nizar calls for a reconsideration of all the ways that we as a movement deal with this issue.
"We are forbidden from allowing any prisoner to reach the fifteenth day of his strike. We have to act from the beginning."
"Perhaps the public is disconnected from the reality of detention."
"It's very nice of you to put a picture of Maher Al-Akhras on your profile. But that is not enough."
He asks a critical question:
Is protesting enough?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
"Fight them; Allah will punish them by your hands and will disgrace them and give you victory over them and heal the hearts of a believing people."
With the help and strength of Allah, one of our groups carried out a shooting operation at 04:05 PM today, targeting an "israeli" occupation army checkpoint at the Taybeh crossing west of Tulkarem with heavy gunfire, resulting in direct casualties.
We confirm that this operation is in response to the assassination of the martyr and fighter Ayed Abu Harb.
It is a jihad of victory or martyrdom.

Undercover agents from the Palestinian Authority set up checkpoints, stop vehicles, and check identities in #Tulkarem.
In response, a commander of Saraya Al-Quds - Tulkarem Brigade said: 'We understand and know what you are doing and that you are targeting us. But we are sincere with God, and our compass points only towards the occupation. I say to the Authority, the security forces, and the governor: Understand, we are fighting only against the occupation. Today, we fired on the Taybeh "israeli" checkpoint in response to the assassination of Ayed Abu Harb.'"
This comes a few days after PA Forces opened fire on a car of resistance fighters in the city, and a week after the PA Forces shot martyr Abdel Qader Zaqdah in Tulkarem after clashes broke out when they tried to remove barriers that the resistance set up.

🔴 Mahmoud Al-Ras, PFLP leader in Gaza:
—
Our prisoners today face zionist terrorism practiced by the criminal Ben-Gvir, which will undoubtedly fail and break before the will of the heroic prisoners. Our people have a great responsibility in supporting the battles of the prisoners inside the occupation prisons, in addition to the responsibility of all the resistance factions in liberating all the prisoners and exposing the prisons.
The entire Palestinian people unite behind the cause of the prisoners because it is a unifying national issue. We call on every free Palestinian inside and outside the homeland to mobilize support for the prisoners; this is a national duty.
The primary mission when the Popular Front was founded was to resist the occupation until it is driven from our Palestinian land. Since its inception, the Popular Front has been a target of American, zionist, and imperialist agendas, and because of its identity and positions, the occupation has placed it in the circle of targeting. We affirm to our people that the Front is in good shape and continues on its path, and it will not deviate from its class identity and the creed of resistance.
Working in secrecy and silence protects our resistance heroes and increases their revolutionary product. The Popular Front is present with its members and cadres in all fields of resistance, and the Front carried out many operations that we did not announce. Some of these will remain confidential until the appropriate time.
We address the loyalists in Fatah movement and some of the Palestinian's Authority's leaders who are trying to redirect the compass in the right direction, and we say to them: This is the path of resistance chosen by our people. What have we gained from the Oslo Accords except settlement, violations of sanctities, and continuous crimes?
If the occupation believes that with its continuous aggression and escalating crimes it will eliminate the resistance, then it is delusional, because our people are determined to liberate their land and obtain their rights. There are thousands of our people in the West Bank joining the ranks of the resistance in order to fight this occupation that only understands the language of force.
We will not compromise on the interests of our people, and we will not accept any agreement that does not place the will and rights of our people at the core of its pillars.
The Unity of the Fields between the Axis of Resistance is very important, especially since this path gives a great deal of space in resisting the terrorist entity in order to extract Palestinian rights. Palestine and Al-Quds are the heart of this Axis, and our relations with it are based on partnership in the fields of resistance in all places and sites of engagement and confrontation.
The Axis of Resistance extends from Palestine to Syria, Lebanon, Yemen and Iraq all the way to Iran, and this Axis with its tactics and strategies is the one that chooses the timing of the response to the crimes of the occupation, especially in the file of assassinations. If any assassination attempt takes place, Gaza will not remain silent and all options will be open to us.
We pledge to follow in the footsteps of all the martyrs and work day and night to achieve the goals they sacrificed for in defense of this homeland.

Statement issued by the family of imprisoned Palestinian Khaled Al-Qaisi:
—
Khaled Al-Qaisi, a member of Palestinian Youth in Italy, was arrested on August 31 by the IOF.
On Thursday, August 31, “israeli” authorities detained Khaled Al-Qaisi, who remains imprisoned to this day, awaiting the verification of charges against him.
During baggage and document inspection, after a long wait, his hands were handcuffed in front of his 4-year-old son, his wife, and all the people present who were waiting to resume their journey.
Khaled, who holds both Italian and Palestinian nationalities, was crossing the "Allenby" border crossing after spending a vacation with his family in Bethlehem, Palestine.
Until now, Khaled has not been able to meet with his lawyer, and there is little information about his well-being.
Khaled is a translator and a student in the Department of Eastern Languages and Civilizations at the University of Rome. He is highly regarded and respected for his commitment to collecting, publishing, and translating Palestinian historical materials.
He is also one of the founders of the Palestinian Documentation Center, an association that works to promote Palestinian culture in Italy.
The situation is extremely serious, and we hope to put an end to this unjust imprisonment.
We urge everyone with the ability to inquire about Khaled's health and, above all, exert all necessary pressure for his immediate release.
