🚨 Administrative detainee Abdulrahman Baraqa of Aqabat Jaber, #Areeha suspends his hunger strike after 26 days.
Baraqa was subjected to systematic abuse during his strike, detained in difficult and harsh conditions. The prison administration imposed a number of punishments against him, and he suffered from a deterioration in his health condition, according to the prisoners' club.

The Commission stated that prisoner Ayham suffers from severe pain in his back and legs, and sometimes he is unable to stand and use the toilet due to his pain. Until this moment, the prison administration has been medically neglecting him and failing to provide the necessary medical treatment for his health condition.

Prisoners in occupation prisons continue to face medical negligence, in a slow assassination attempt.
The occupation continues to detain cancer-stricken prisoner Asif Rifai (21 years old) in “Ramla Prison Clinic,” despite the ongoing risks to his life and his urgent need for his family. Concerns have been raised after recent CT scans showed no improvement in his health condition, according to the Palestinian Prisoner’s Club.
Asif began receiving treatment seven months after his arrest on September 24 2022, despite medical reports confirming the health risks he faced during his detention.
Elderly detainee Sheikh Said Nakhla (65 years old) was brutally threatened and re-arrested early Thursday morning from his home in Jalazone camp, Ramallah, just four months after his release, following his last administrative detention that lasted about a year.
The Prisoner Club stated that Said Nakhla has been arrested a total of 14 times since 1977, and spent a cumulative period of about 18 years, mostly under administrative detention. Nakhla suffers from multiple health problems resulting from the repeated arrests.
In 2020, he underwent a catheterization procedure just one day after his arrest and still requires medical follow-up. He is considered one of the prominent prisoners targeted through administrative arrests.
The Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners’ Affairs Commission also reported that the health condition of the prisoner, Walid Daqqah, who is suffering from bone-marrow cancer and is detained in Ramla Prison "Clinic," has slightly stabilized. However, the danger is still present, and he is in need of intensive medical care in specialized civilian hospitals.
Recently, he has experienced several serious and consecutive health setbacks, including acute pneumonia and acute kidney failure.
The Commission called for his urgent transfer to a civilian hospital that can provide him with the necessary medical treatments, warning against the risks of keeping him in the Ramla Clinic due to its lack of adequate medical facilities.
