According to the Committee for Prisoners' Affairs, "He suffers from fatigue and exhaustion, his movement has become very difficult, and he cannot walk or stand, in addition to pains in all parts of his body, and experiences dizziness, imbalance, and forgetfulness."
Kayed, too, is a veteran hunger striker who went on a nine-day hunger strike in June, and a heroic 131-day-long hunger strike to snatch his freedom in late 2021 as well as in 2019. All of his siblings are prisoners, and he himself has spent a total of seven years in zionist prisons since 2007. He is the father to Jowan, who said that her father's battle is open and called for increased support for him. "Why are you waiting for baba to be martyred? Why?," she asked.
