Resistance fighters targeted an IOF tower with locally-made explosive devices at the entrance of Beit Ummar, north of #AlKhalil.
⚠️ The Drums of War Beat (1/4):
The intensity of the regional situation has reached unprecedented heights that may be overlooked. The resistance is ready:

• Hamas leader Saleh Al-Arouri, in the midst of explicit assassination threats, is confident of the ability to expel the occupation: "We will drive them out," calling on Palestinian youth everywhere to resist in the same interview. For Al-Mayadeen, he reaffirmed the resistance's readiness for the major war and the resistance's capability to shut down the enemy's "electricity, telecommunications, and economy."
⚠️ The Drums of War Beat (2/4):

Arouri's messaging aligns with that of Hezbollah's Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah, who told the enemy two weeks ago, "We will send you back to the stone age," threatening precise missile strikes on major zionist infrastructure. Hezbollah's actions on the Lebanese-Palestinian border have escalated, sending the enemy into a frenzy. Today, Nasrallah stated, "Any assassination on Lebanese soil that targets a Lebanese, Palestinian, Iranian, or any person, will certainly yield a strong reaction and will not be tolerated."
⚠️ The Drums of War Beat (3/4):

"The battle for liberation of the West Bank is on the table." Arouri's statement is strongly supported by the statements of Hamas to Egyptian mediators
Hamas told the mediators that the condition for stopping the war—should the zionists continue the assassinations—is complete zionist withdrawal from the West Bank. Zionist advisors failed to promise to halt the assassinations. Hamas promised operations would escalate.
⚠️ The Drums of War Beat (4/4):

• Arouri's appearance in a military uniform yesterday comes in the context of increased West Bank operations by Al-Qassam Brigades, who have claimed responsibility for some of the most deadly operations of the year, including "Eli", "Kedumim", both Huwara operations, "Tel Aviv" operations, and the Al-Khalil operations.

• Gaza's resistance has also launched a number of long-range missile tests in recent weeks. Further, settlers have repeatedly been advised to avoid Palestinian areas to avoid being captured to liberate prisoners.

• Arouri sends silent messages to the enemy with this picture: the three phones indicate his constant communication with various fronts—the Unity of the Fields, the M-16 symbolizes increased operations in the West Bank, and his smile indicates his confidence in the impending victory.

Naji predicts his own fate. The evil man puts up wanted posters of Handala, "wanted dead or alive." A group of Handalas watch in awe.

Handala says "My country, my country, my country. You have my love and adoration."

Naji published this drawing just two weeks before his assassination on after getting calls from PLO figures. On August 29th, 1987, Naji ascended to martyrdom. #NajisAugust
The IOF abducted Hamas leader Bassam Hammad and Birzeit Student Council member Abdulghani Fares after raiding their homes in Silwad, #Ramallah. Abdulghani was kidnapped by the Palestinian Authority a few weeks ago along with several of his colleagues. His arrest is yet another example of the "revolving door" practiced between the PA and zionist entity.
Four settlers were injured after they attempted to attack Palestinians near the town of Mikhmas, #Ramallah.

I am committed to Palestine.
Naji Al-Ali: the creator of the immortal Handala. With his pen as his weapon, he was the voice of the downtrodden. Opposing imperialism and settlement, his drawings spoke to the revolution, the true revolution, of the camps and the masses, not that of the charlatans and engineers of Oslo that killed him.

"I am accused of being biased, and it is an accusation I do not deny. I am biased in favor of those who are 'below.'"

"No to the silencer!" Naji was loud in his stance against political silencing. Naji called to free them all. He called for liberation. He called out backstabbing Arab regimes and elites. He honored our martyrs. Naji reminds us, "Palestine is not far. Nor is it near. It is within reach of the revolution."

He is Palestine's unwavering conscience. His commitment to the cause continues to inspire the rising unity in the homeland and diaspora. For this, he received 100 death threats, from enemies and "allies" alike, from vague threats to threatening to cut off his fingers that forged his art. "You must correct your attitude," a senior PLO member told Naji.

Four weeks later, and on this day in 1987, he was shot by masked PLO gunmen outside the Al-Qabas newspaper offices in London, betrayed by the orchestrators of Oslo. Shot in the eye, he fell into a coma, his enemies thinking that blinding him would blind his immortal vision for global justice.

Naji ascended as a martyr on August 29th. His legacy, like his art, lives forever. Naji, meaning survivor, never died.

"Welcome to death for the sake of Palestine," the good man says as he creates his own military uniform.

This drawing was created by Naji two weeks before his assassination.

Naji wrote, "Whoever wants to write about Palestine and whoever wants to draw for Palestine must know that they are effectively dead. I cannot give up my principles, even if it costs me my neck. Even if they cut off my fingers, I'll draw with my feet.

Handala, this character I created, will definitely not end after me. And perhaps it's not an exaggeration to say that I will continue with him even after my death."
